Anyone had experience with Cellcept to treat CIDP?

Last year I was diagnosed with CIDP and was treated with IVIG. While my condition improved somewhat I had awful side effects from the IVIG. I was deficient in IGA which exasperated the side effects. Now my CIDP symptoms are getting worse again. My neurologist asked me to consider starting with prednisone to be tapered down over 4-6 weeks as I increase Cellcept. At this point in my condition he thinks this approach might be preferred over plasma pheresis. Anyone have a similar experience?
