Anyone else have a bad interaction while on lisinopril?
On the med for about two weeks.
When I experience heart rhythm issues and a spike in blood pressure. I admit I made some mistakes. And that I did not know you could use ibuprofen eat bananas or use nasal spray. The effect of the med was only a mild drop in blood pressure. So I decided to go off of it for a while. To my surprise, I found that a simple workout supplement that raises nitric oxide in the blood.Seem to offer more relief. My question is, why are we not working on dilating? The blood vessel over preventing the narrowing of it

@cindi210 thank you for sharing. How long did it take you to feel better after you discontinued taking it?
@jck2140 I have been fine. My blood pressure could be better, but I don't worry about it.
I haven't been dizzy, which is good.
It's been six or seven years, I think.

1 Reaction@musicguy if you stop all anti hypertensive medications you run the risk of developing serious other illnesses like kidney disease, eye issues any place you have small vessels can be effected. If you cannot control it with diet and exercise you will do yourself no favors by not using something to help yourself.
I started taking Lisinopril in 1984 when I was diagnosed with familial hypertension since I was young and healthy and both parents had it. I was on 20mg to start but it was reduced when I lost weight and now take 10mg daily. Never had any side effects.
Was on it for a while. I started having a slight cough mostly at night. I mentioned it to my Dr. and he said that is a side effect. Switched drugs and the cough went away.
