Anyone else get flush face after using Breztri?

Posted by copdinny @copdinny, 3 days ago

Experienced flush face on Breztri? I did, & now I have to go back to using Trelegy.

Trelegy worked well for me for years. But now that my COPD is worse, I find it difficult inhaling a full dose of Trelegy.

I started using Ohtuvayre about 3-4 months ago. So now I have to start experimenting with the best order and elapsed times for using all the meds at my disposal: aluterol nebulizer, Trelegy, Ohtuvayre and albuterol rescue inhalers.

Any thoughts on the order/timing issues would be most appreciated.

I had some strange adverse effects on that medication. It has an anticholinergic drug in it. I started having hand and foot cramps. They were excruciating. My insurance didn’t cover it. I asked to be put back on symbicort. It is a newish drug and I general like the old known side effects and I like medications with propellants rather than powders. Powdered ones are hard for me to inhale and I get thrush. My primary gave me information on pulmonary toilet and I worked on that with positing and a massager on my lung bases.
I would talk to doctors to determine why and how.
This is so hard coughing up stuff. I was told to drink more water.

I looked this effect you had up. It says it is a serious side effect. There is a national poison control center number if you are in the United States. It will direct you to your local number,

They are 24/7 https://www.poison.org/
I also encourage you to contact your doctor immediately or the doctor on call.

Drinking more water definitely helps.

I know what you mean about having difficulty with powdered meds. I'm having trouble getting a full dose of my Trelegy inhaler, which is why I switched to Breztri.

Yes I ask that I don’t get powders.

Good idea. But it's either Breztri (inhaler) or Trelegy (powder). And I had a bad reaction to Breztri.
