My daughter has Alpha-1 and challenging lung issues (not COPD yet). She was getting so many bacterial infections and once she got on Dupixent she experienced a dramatic reduction in illness. Last year she didn’t take an antibiotic once which is not the norm for her.

I have COPD with high eosinophils. Have been on Dupixent for 2 years. Have not had a flareup in 17 months. Since being on it, eosinophils are now all within normal range and chest tightness (inflammation) is much improved.
I did not see or feel an improvement right away, it took several doses.
Everyone responds to medication differently but once you start, please be patient and give it some time.
Good luck!

I had joint and muscle aches & pains, arthralgia it’s called. When it became intolerable after 10 months I had to stop & switched to Nucala.

Is Nucala helping you ..?

REPLY

Yes, both Dupixent and now Nucala have helped keep me from having exacerbations (used to have 1-6 per year for 20 years! They have also raised my resting O2 saturation rates and may even have helped slightly improve my lung function, as measured by PULMONARY FUNCTION TESTING.
