Any younger people here with stage 3/F3 fibrosis? 🥺
Hi! I’m 29 and I recently found out I have stage 3 liver fibrosis, and I’m still trying to wrap my head around everything. I originally found out I had fatty liver and gallstones, and then after seeing GI and having more testing done, I found out the damage was already at F3. I think the scariest part for me is just hearing “stage 3” at 29 years old. I have three kids and a whole life ahead of me, so obviously my brain immediately went to every worst case scenario possible. I’m trying to make the changes I need to make and learn as much as I can, but I would really love to hear from people who are actually living with F3 fibrosis...especially anyone who was diagnosed young. How long have you been F3? Has yours improved, stayed stable, or progressed? What changes or treatments have made the biggest difference for you? And honestly… how did you get past the initial fear after finding out? I think more than anything I just need to know I’m not alone in this. ❤️I’m about 225 lbs right now, and weight loss is a big part of my treatment plan. I’m starting Wegovy and I’m also in the process of having bariatric surgery, with the hope that significant weight loss along with lifestyle changes will help my liver. ❤️ I’d especially love to hear from anyone with F3 who has taken Wegovy or another GLP-1, or who has had bariatric surgery. Did losing weight improve your fibrosis? Has anyone actually gone from F3 back to F2 or lower? I’d love to hear some real experiences because I’m trying to stay hopeful and do everything I can to turn this around. 🥺❤️
