Any kid receiving imatinib treatment?

My 9 years old daughter is receiving imatinib for the last 4 years for an undiagnosed blood disorder leading to hypereosynophilia.

Hello. I am not a kid, I'm 77. I have been diagnosed with Chronic Eosinophilic Leukemia. The primary indicator of this leukemia is very high eosinophil counts.
I do not have the gene mutation that would make imatinib a possible treatment. I have been taking hydroxyurea for about 4 years.

@vkartsona, welcome. I added your question to the Blood Cancers support group as well to see if others have experience with imatinib (Gleevec, Glivic), like @craighatescancer and @anglis

You must be so worried for your daughter. Will she continue with imatinib?

Thank you so much colleen. She has been in imatinib 4 years now and all examinations are totally normal. I believe the doctors will try to stop it cause it seems it has side effects with her height…
