Any hopeful stage 4 storries
My husband was diagnosed in June. His P.S.A was 4.6. His gleason 3+4. So we thought his disease would be localized. But Pet Scan showed bone spread. We are terrified. Any encouraging word would be appreciated

@readandlearn My wife asked me if I remember the nurse’s name so she could report her but I am a county boy who isn’t comfortable making trouble. But, yes, she acted inappropriately.

It's not making trouble; it's education & training. I would think that very few nurses want to be cruel or insensitive. By reporting her in a kind manner & suggesting training, you would not only be helping her but also other patients in the future.

We saw my husband's Urologist on Weds. He prescribed Casodex and He will have his first Lupron shot on Thursday, August 6th. He is feeling quite down about the possible side effects. But we are glad to be moving forward. The Urologist did not order radiation for the small bone Mets because my husband has no pan from them. Hoping that was the right decision.

@christinadiersen50 It's natural to be concerned about the side-effects, but you do get used to them in time and just get on with your life (I've been on hormone therapy for nearly 5 years).
