Alternative therapies for long COVID
I am going to discuss the findings discussed in this article with my doctor. I found it to be interesting and hopeful. I attached the article.

It’s a combination of BPC157 and TB500. Not all peptides are the same. In fact some can make COVID symptoms worse. But these 2 combine works together to repair your body. Particularly heart, cns, and gut health. BPC157 is in a clinical trial for treatment of symptoms relating to HIV AIDS and Influenza. My sweating spells have stopped I think due to the cns repairs it does. And gut health has improved. A lot of studies and research out there if you’re willing to read them. I found them mind numbing but I got the picture.
I had an alternative therapy doctor recommend psyllium husks and I need to get back to drinking that drinking that mixture. My biggest issue, (besides CNS) is inflammation. I can feel it in my body. I am going to a place called Prime IV and talk to them. I read L-arginine, liposomal Vit C, CQ10 and tryptophan. I am just having a consult with them. I have that Tuesday. I will report back to you guys and let you know how that goes. I looked up the Wolverine as well. I am willing to try some of these things. I have read a lot of research studies as well, and a lot of them go over my head too, but some of the stuff I know from looking at my blood work when this began 3 years ago. I am open to any suggestions. Thank you 2Jesse Jones and everyone else. The support I have gotten on this group has helped a lot.
Was this recommended by your doctor? When I go to the Paramount site, it says for research purposes only. When you say units, do you mean milliliters? The product is pretty expensive. How long does a bottle last?
No doctor recommended it to me. In fact I spent months seeing specialist that costs me a fortune out of pocket and they did absolutely nothing that actually helped me. The only promising treatment was IVIg but it was very expensive and you had to it every week for months. I spent months researching anything reading tons of medical studies. And I landed on this combo that has helped me since day one. But everyone is affected by long covid differently. My main symptoms was cns and gut related and this peptide combination specifically fixes those areas. I am technically doing my own medical study on myself. And so far have been great results. I can’t say what your body will react to but if your like me and tired of not getting better you have to research and see what helps you. I’m just sharing my story to all that will hear. This is what helped me. And do not simply “trust” what your doctor says. Do you own research from legitimate studies. Covid is nothing any doctor ever learned in school remember that.
Units is the measurement on an insulin needle. The bottle at my dosing last like 4 weeks.
And the only doctor I’d recommend seeing is a functional medicine doctor. They will more be in tune with the latest research. And what is working.
Thanks for your kind reply. I see a naturopath and you are right that regular doctors know nothing about ME/CFS or Long Covid. My ND has definitely help some symptoms with his recommendations like bolouke, D-Manose and Quercitin.
My former doctor, a specialists in ME/CFS (who unfortunately passed away) treated ME/CFS with something called "cell signaling factors" which are heart and brain peptides made from buffalo organs. I actually had a "functional cure" from ME/CFS using these, but they don't seem to be doing as well for LC.
What size bottle do you purchase from Wolverine and and do you mix this with an equal amount of water?
I also have my LC symptoms focused on the gut and brain so I am interested in trying this.
Hello, Fellow Long-Haulers:
As many of you may already know, I'm 83 years old and 4+ years post-covid. I take *a lot* of supplements, plus many amino acids which support my mitrochrondria.
I recently had 'a win' by way of a cup of tea. This organic, herbal, tea has as its first ingredient "Skullcap". On May 2nd, I drank my first cup of tea with my breakfast. 45 minutes later, I felt 'terrific'. It was only after feeling so well that I took a close look at the ingredients; then I researched 'skullcap' and found, much to my delight, that it goes right to the nervous system. So many of us suffer from a disregulated nervous system which causes many of our unpleasant symptoms. The information about this herb is readily available so if you are inclined, check it out.
Bottom line: It has turned me around. It lifted 'that layer of yukiness and pervasive fatigue'. The affects last well over 24 hours but I continue to drink a cup with my breakfast each morning. (If you don't drink tea, capsules are available).
This product is made by Traditional Medicinals and the formula is "Stress Ease - Tension Relief" and the first ingredient is SkullCap.
I feel like I can honestly say now that I am 'only 83 years old' - not '83 years old and suffering from long covid'.
My best to you all,
Pam
p.s. For a lot of free information, I encourage you to visit the YouTube channel of Gez Medinger. He's one of us and has been working on recovery for 5 years. The channel is a gold mine.
Yeah it really depends on your symptoms and needs. There was a clinic in New Jersey that was giving patients different peptides and over 50% of long covid got worse. I’m using the Wolverine blend from paramountpeptides. They are good but there are many companies that sell subpar products. But the Wolverine blend has 10mg BPC157 and 10mg of TB500. Comes in bottle as a powder and you inject 4ml of bacteriostatic water. I inject towards the sides of the bottle to prevent bubbles and it consolidates very quickly. Then I inject daily into my stomach 30units in an insulin needle. I did 2 weeks on 2 days off and no symptoms or flare ups. I was mostly having fatigue, gastritis type symptoms and long sweating spells. All have disappeared since I started so far so I am hopeful!
Thank you, Pam? I will try the skullcap tea! And thank you for the Gez Medinger referral - his videos are just wonderful! Best, Janet
