Has anyone have an allergic reaction to Omeprazole 40mg? Or Veozah for hot flashes?

@jayrob624 You mention 2 drugs and allergic reactions. Did you have the allergic reactions? Can you describe them for us? Maybe tell us a little more about yourself and the 2 medications.
I know that I need to eliminate one medication at a time. The reaction I got was red, itchy swollen bumps on my arms, neck, fingers, elbows and hands. They hurt to touch. I intially was treated for skeeter syndrom, then scabbies and they still kept coming. So i eliminated the veozah, Omeprazal and wegovy. Then I was told i was allergic to contrast when i had an epidural. So after all of that I started taking the meds again and they started coming again. This has been going on since august 2024 and I am exhausted trying to find the cause.
jayrob624, I looked up the side effects of Veozah and 2 of the side of effects listed for taking this drug are skin rashes and itching. Omeprazole (Prilosec) can also cause these very same symptoms.
It sounds like you are extremely sensitive to these two drugs and that you are a sensitive person....I understand, I am right there with you with medications.
Please ask your primary or OB/GYN doctor to switch you to something else for hot flashes and for acid reflux. There are compounded natural hormone therapies that are called bioidentical hormones that have less side effects....they are usually out of pocket though.
Omeprazole is a protein pump inhibitor...perhaps something else other than in the ppi family you would be better able to tolerate. Also, perhaps a Dermatologist could help you with something to calm down your skin reactions.
My heart goes out to you. This sounds miserable. Praying for you to get relief. Blessings....
Thank you sooo much. I really appreciate your advice.
