Alcoholic Gait Disturbances
My Husband quite drinking 9 years ago and still has gait disturbances that are severe. Anyone else experienced this and what can be done for it?

Fortunately, I can't speak from experience but chronic alcohol use can cause neuropathy for which there is no cure.
Ataxia is another illness that can be caused by alcohol. Alcohol induced ataxia is usually permanent.
I have both of these conditions caused by seizure medication. My neuropathy is considered permanent. Not sure about the ataxia.
Finding a physical therapist who specializes in Gait and balance training might help and of course no more alcohol.
