Again, which nebulizer...HELP!!
Why are things so complicated these days? I'm on my second compressor and it is taking an hour to do a treatment. You hear of folks that say, "I'm done in 5-10 mins." I first neb 3.5% Sodium Chloride mixed with Budesonide followed by Tobramycin. The Budesonide instructions say only use a jet neb NOT an ultrosonic neb. The Tobramycin instructions say you must use the PARI-LC kit. I had to be in the hospital recently for GI bleeding and my inhaled treatments went really quickly but they use the oxygen ?input and can control the flow. We, on the other hand, only have an off and on switch. If anyone out there has any knowledge or thoughts on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.

That is what I found for instructions. Every two weeks. Maybe that has changed to monthly? I think it was the NJH recommendation as well as some other places? But anyway I always have infection with my chronic Pseudomonas and about 3 ounces of mucus daily. I take great care to run the machine 3 minutes at the end to expel moisture and i also keep it hung in a place where it will dry out and stay sterile. Even so in my case I feel more comfortable with 2 weeks since you cannot sterilize the tubes. Were you really told to replace the cups every 6 weeks? I replace the cups every 4 months or so as instructed since they can be sterilized.

I have been shopping around for a portable nebulizer for a while. I came across a number of sites that say Innospire Go has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer. Is it true?
The nebulizer instructions do not suggest alcohol. I use white vinegar (1 part vinegar to 3 parts water) every other day. That is one of the choices listed in the instructions. Another is 1 part bleach to 50 parts water. Good luck! Donna T
Unfortunately, that seems to be the situation. There are other people searching for a replacement, I am waiting to hear their evaluations.

Hello Linda, I have another question for you if you do not mind. I sent a question to NJH pulmonary nurse asking if they had a preference between the Pari and the Ombra. Her answer was that at NJH they use the Ombra compressor and the Pari nebulizer! I am not sure what she meant but it sounds like they use them together? I called and left a message for further clarification but not sure if I will get it. Just wondered if you happen to know about this possible combination or if you use it since you said you use the pari tubes with the Ombra.
They probably use the Pari cups with the blue tops. They can be boiled like the Aeroeclipse XL cups that come with the Ombra. Some people call the cups the nebulizer. Confusing!
The nebulizer setup has several parts - the compressor that generates the airstream, the tubing that transports the air, the nebulizer cup that holds the medicine or saline to aerosolize, and the mouthpiece/mask that goes into the mouth or over the nose and mouth.
the Pari nebulizer is undoubtedly the Pari LC Sprint that many respiratory therapists seem to prefer for its adjustability.

I did get a clarification from them but it was not very clear. They may not have meant that they use the pari sprint with the ombra compressor! She did refer to the Aeroclipse but also seemed to indicate something about things being interchangeable. Just not clear. Yes i also thought the cups were referred to as the nebulizer vs compressor.

1 ReactionI use an Aerobika paired with Aeroeclipse to nebulize a mix of albuterol and 7% Saline. I use 1/2 of the mixture/treatment 3 times/day. I am hoping to travel in the coming months and would like to use my Aeroeclipse combo with a Pari TrekS battery compressor. Has anyone had success using this compressor with Aerobika/Aeroeclipse?
