After multiple TBIs, 1 a concussion, 4.5yrs to now is it CTE?
I had multiple head injuries fall of 2023, all of which alcohol the sole cause of my TBIs. I wasn’t seen for each head injury and then I was falling more than not. My concussion was the 2nd fall out of 7-8. These head injuries were about 1 or 2 weeks apart. I slowed down my drinking to help my body heal. I didn’t know how much drinking may affect a brain injury, I continued drinking. I had a Non Specific Paroxysmal Spell(NSPS) which was 12/23-01/24. 4.5years later I did finally get myself to stop drinking. I’ve got 4 months 6 days sober but have noticed significant changes in my brain, fine motor, emotional state, psychiatric symptoms are all similar to CTE but I really hope my body is just tricking me. I can’t read sheet music anymore. I can’t do anything like I could do before the TBI’s and NDPS or NEPE’s, it fee’s like I’m losing my mind since this most recent shift in my brain. I’ll also add I had a blow to my right temple this morning. That happens to be same place as my dx’d concussion. It’s not as bad as it could’ve been but it still hurts and seems to have amped up my symptoms. Any suggestions or tips, advice is welcome.
