Advice for erection problems etc
Hello I’m 65 in decent physical condition, just the normal high cholesterol, blood pressure issues. Take meds for those and mild anti depressants. The ED meds help get an errction but can not ejaculate. No sensitivity. No prostTe pain and no excessive urination. Anyone experience this and if so what is a next step or possible treatment?

I can ejaculate but not much comes out anymore, too much work to enjoy!
@wm60 its also your antidepressants that are causing your issue. Psych meds are well known for blunting men’s sex drive.
I didn’t Wellbutrin would have much effect, matter of fact they promote them for added energy a better labito and sometimes weight loss
I am curious about the implant - do you also get additional erection to go with it? Assuming you have an orgasm with it, does it feel natural? Do you also ejaculate (assuming you did before the implant)? What are the downsides to having the implant? Thanks
Check your testosterone levels. My GP did it for me. Then he sent me to an Endocrinologist for further testing. My Endo doc recommended testosterone injections. They can be done at home every two weeks. So ask your doc what he thinks of this testing.
I have an appointment with a urologist get checked out for testosterone and prostate. Hopefully get taken care of! Thanks for the input!
A Urologist specialized in Sexual Health would likely ask you to clarify a few things:
1. Is the treatment for erections working for intercourse? All problems with ejaculation/orgasm can be improved with optimizing erectile hardness so this is the first step
2. When describing problems with ejaculation, your provider should differentiate between ability to reach orgasm (feeling of pleasure/climax) with ejaculation - expulsion of fluid from the penis. Typically these occur together but you can have one without the other in both directions.
3. I get the sense from the post that your anorgasmic and likely have delayed ejaculation (something making it much more difficult achieve orgasm) - this is quite common as men age and extremely common in women in general. The number one medication cause of new onset delayed ejaculation in men are anti-depressants which I saw in your history. Paxil (paroxitine) is the biggest offender. In fact, we often use Paxil to help delay ejaculation/orgasm in men who have the opposite problem - premature ejaculation.

1 ReactionThe reason for the implant is to create an erection. Everything else remains the same as pre-implant.

Cabergoline is apparently more commonly used than yohimbine; there are only one or two published studies on it that I’ve found, and it helps about 2/3 of those in the trial; keep in mind it’s hard to do the right controls for this, so there is some subjectivity. And, for those who benefit may have to take it for some weeks or months to notice an improvement. It hasn’t yet worked for me, now 10 weeks into trying. Anorgasmia is common with age and there is no known treatment. Nature didn’t intend for us to even live this long, and things “wear out” for those who do.
