Adult Onset Atopic Dermatitis

Posted by sandrajune @sandrajune, Feb 10, 2020

I was diagnosed after 14 months of mystery rashes and itching. I have had to switch all personal products and many household products to avoid triggers. I am wondering if anyone has found a good body moisturizer that lasts more than two hours or facial products that have enough moisture and don't block pores and cause breakouts.

Hello,
My derma is planning to put me on Dupixent to help with my worsening eczema. I’d like to get some input here from others on how their experience was on Dupixent, if it was worth it. I am getting to the point where my eczema has spread and the itch is now really preventing me from sleeping so I am ready for Dupixent (I have tried so many things, prescribed and over the counter stuff, meditation, etc).
Thank you in advance!

My husband has been injecting Dupixent for about 3 years. The main reason is lung issues, but the relief he has from eczema has been very good. At first, he would have occasional itching but he is past that now. Even with insurance, it is expensive but the results are real. Give it some time and good luck.

Hi @yejin and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I moved your post to a discussion with a similar topic so that you can connect with other members like @mburg2, @babbs, and @gardeningjunkie.

Can you share what else you have tried that was not successful?
