Accessible Lodging in Rochester Minnesota – Rooms with a ceiling lift?

Hello,

I will be spending about a week in Rochester, Minnesota for some appointments at the Mayo Clinic. I use a wheelchair and require assistance. My personal care attendant will be traveling with me. I was wondering if there are hotel rooms in Rochester, Minnesota that had a ceiling lift for transfers?

I've attached a picture of a room in Las Vegas that has ceiling lift.

@boojiboy71, Mayo Clinic Rochester offers a free Concierge service to assist patients in making plans and locating lodging, travel, getting directions around Mayo and Rochester, etc. This allows the patients to to focus on medical care and needs. Concierge services are complementary and available in person or by phone, live chat, email or online form.

Hello @boojiboy71. Unfortunately, Rochester does not have any hotels that have ceiling lifts. We do have a company, Anderson Wheelchairs, that rents out Patient Lift and will deliver it to a hotel that you are staying at. We also have a list of hotels that have rooms/beds that can accommodate a floor Hoyer to be properly used. I hope this information was helpful to your upcoming visit. Listed below will be the rental company and some of the hotels that have that bed accommodations. The hotels will all have a discounted rate for Mayo Clinic patients as well, you would just need to call their local, Rochester, number and tell them you are coming to the clinic.
