Abnormal bloodwork for years

Posted by aliviaghormley @aliviaghormley, 1 day ago

I’m actually waiting to see if Mayo Clinic will accept my case, but I wonder if anyone else out there is dealing with or has dealt with the same?

I’m 35 female and have had abnormal bloodwork for going on 5 years that none of my doctors can figure out.

Well, goodness, @aliviaghormley, you have a lot going on and I’m sure you’re desperately trying to figure out the underlying cause of all these health issues. It’s not for lack of sleuthing. It sounds like you and your doctors have put a great deal of effort into finding a cause and treatment for you.

You mentioned Mayo Clinic…if you haven’t already requested an appointment, here is a link to get you started. http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63
You don’t need a referral but it can be helpful, especially considering some of your complications. Referrals from your specialists may have an impact.

You mentioned your blood work has been wonky for about 5 years. Do you remember anything that precipitated the change? What were your first symptoms?

@loribmt thank you for responding. I should’ve included, I do have a referral placed and my doctor just wrote a letter to the ask for charity care since I am on Colorado Medicaid. I heard from the financial department this does take some time, so I’ll plan to call in about 6 weeks if I haven’t heard anything.
As far as what set it off, I think I had an early case of Covid, in February of 2020. It seems like that was a turning point medically speaking.
