Abdominal Pain
Diagnosed with IBS. Different kind of pain now. No ovaries, no hernia, not appendix’s, colonoscopy 4 years ago all good. No one seems to know why this pain is here. Now walking causes sharp stabbing pain occasionally. Anyone ever have this and has found out what it is? Thank you

Welcome to Mayo Connect. When you have prior medical problems, it is often hard to tell whether something is recurring or something new is happening. Though most members of Connect are not medical specialists, some of us may have had similar symptoms.
If comfortable, can you share a little more? You mentioned your ovaries have been removed. Do you still have your uterus and gallbladder?
The reason I ask about the gallbladder is that when I had gallstones, I would get pain after eating certain types of food, like greasy food.
Have providers ordered any tests? If so, which ones?

3 ReactionsI understand what you are going through. I have to be very careful what I eat, drink and just life.
Do you have food sensitivity, Do you get slightly constipated?. I have to be very careful for this and for medication’s because some of them has lactose in them.
I ate at this one restaurant many times had wonderful food, but after Covid, I went back and I barely made it to the hotel room. They had made some changes in their product that I wasn’t aware of. So after that, I had to get french fries with my roast.
Do a food diary of what you eat what you drink
Do you have any issues afterwards as cramping diarrhea?
You might be able to figure it out after a few weeks.
I wish you the very best

1 ReactionI have IBS and Lichens Sclerosus I suffer with stomach pain everyday. I am seeing a Urologist January 3rd to rule out Urethra problems as I've had colonoscopy and endoscopyies which came back good. Something has to be wrong this is not normal... Yes I have the same stabbing pains when walking and I've had my uterus removed. I will try to remember to update you on the results of my third test.
Best wishes

I have abdominal pain also.
I actually had C-DIFF & after I got better ( thankfully, as one could die
from it, which I did not know at the time) I was still waking up each morning
with the abdominal pain so my physician said I could keep taking a tablet
of Tramadol ( 50mg) each morning, so I do & it works!
I am only one case but do ask your doctor & your pharmacist.... K
