Phlegm in my throat and post nasal drip after Covid
Ever since I had covid in January of 2022 I recovered from the virus but I was left with a constant phlegm in the back of my throat and post nasal drip that will not go away. The feeling of having mucus in the back of my throat actually gets worse when I try to get rid of it by coughing. I have been given steroid inhalers, albuterol, allergy medication, but none of these work. The mucus gets worse especially after I eat. I've never felt like this before and it all started after covid. Can anybody relate to what I am going through?

When i went for dry eye, it only took 2 weeks to see great improvement and then it only improved rapidly. I hope your results are good.
Hi..I saw your note..I am currently in round two of Covid. I am a long hauler also. I was in and saw the nurse provider on monday, she told me to take Mucinex for four days twice a day. It does help for a while, I still had a lot of junk in my chest from this run, no pneumonia. You could try the Mucinex and see if it helps you. Hope you feel better. You never know what your day is going to be like. I have been out of work again for two weeks, they will not release me to go back to work. I am off no pay again and that sure does not pay the bills. Please feel better. Sincerely Kitty2

Throughout the day

Acupuncture 2x a week for a month.
I don't get burning in my throat, but I did have a burning throat really really badly when I the COVID infection that caused all this.
I thought it was interesting at the time because out of all my coworkers that were infected with the same strain, I was the only one who had 24 hours of burning in my throat.
It's so annoying that so many doctors wouldn't listen that there's something wrong with the throat.
Hi, I have lots of something to ask you.. you felt that your symptom (damn phlegm) disappeared at the 1st day of antibiotics? and you sure the phlegm was originated from COVID-19?
At last, you didn't have symptoms other than phlegm? (such as foreign body feeing in your throat etc...)
I am also suffered from the similar thing longer hell.. I need your help and advice.
Thanks.
Yes, it came right after covid. I strongly believe the antibiotics got rid of it. Don't know what else it could have been. I did not have any other symptoms, sometimes a little cough though. I feel for anyone who has this. I know how terrible an ordeal it is.
Do you still well condition? and when did you feel that your phlegm were disaapeared? The 1st day of the zosyn? In the middle of zosyn or ertapenem? or the End of all antibiotics?
My phlegm has not returned, thank goodness. I don't remember exactly when it stopped. I think it might have been at least a couple of days after starting both antibiotics.
Thank you so much, you gave me a lot of good information. in fact, I would be given antibiotics as same as you, so I wanted information in detail from you. I also want to recieve the same bless as you. Thanks again.
Wishing you, and everyone else with this problem, best of luck. I will keep you all posted if it returns.
