Stage 4 PC Longevity: Anyone have prostate cancer more than 10 years?

My wifes private isurance has payed everything which is 80% and the rest was picked up by either the corporation that sponsered the medicine or the financial assistance that the facility I'm treated at. I hit all the deductibles in January and the rest of the year everything is covered. I have been lucky and have not payed much out of pocket. Gene, 75 yrs old. Prostate removed in 2002. Came back with a vengeance in 2008. Chemo, radiation, Lubron, nothing worked. Went to hospice care ,tried Xtandi and it worked until 2014 went back to Lubron and it worked again until 2022 . Tried Firmagon , it didn't work. Ran out of options . Pluvicto is my last hope. First treatment wasn"t bad , but this second treatment has been a real tough go. Completely immersed in pain. Loss of mobility, just a mess. Has anyone completed all 36 weeks?

22 years stage 4 fully metastasized since 2008. Good appetite ,cheerful disposition, positive outlook on life.No activities. Caregiver assisted for most basic needs. Not complaining !

The first shots only side effect was everything was GOOD, The second shot was a mess. But everyone is different so lets pray you have only good side effects

I have posted this before but I am sharing it again here. I belong to a group of prostate cancer warriors who meet every Wednesday on zoom. Hi @rkurtzjr, do you have prostate cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes?

It was closer to 20 lymph nodes scattered across a vast region and the oncologist and radiation oncologist were of the opinion that 5 was the max, so we discounted this option.

Now on ADT for 12 months and PSA less than 0.1, hoping it stays that way for another 12 months and then off ADT. If and when the PSA rises, will most certainly get to a PSMA PET and if the metastatic areas are not so widespread, I think radiation will be an option.

we shall see, for now just trying to sleep enough, these days I need 10 hours a night!

Had one node positive at RP. Now BCR with scans scheduled at mayo

Hi, I was given radiotherapy 10 years ago & had 9.5 great years but recently diagnosed with Stage 4 metastasis with 3 spots on my spine undetectable by bone scan but visible on CT. Being treated with Abiraterone only. I see some uplifting stories here & elsewhere but given only 2/3 years by oncology. I hear Chemotherapy along with Hormone therapy is administered in many clinics. Can anyone advise?
