@peach414144 The trauma of the surgery on the tissues was bound to cause that bruising and all. I was at work the next day, in the courtroom, with a huge pressure bandage on. I pasted smiley face stickers all over it, which made everyone smile. I recall having the massive headache, also, for about three days. What was most frustrating was keeping my face clean and no hair washing for a week.

I was told and the instructions given to me said I could shower 24 hours after treatment. However, I have not washed my hair as yet and it is good to hear from you. I will not do so for a week. Thank you. Peach

My name is Mary Ann. My health problems began when my gynecologist implanted a bladder sling after I had my three children. I was sick for seven years before my urologist removed it. During that time I was given Levaquin for horrible hemorrhagic bladder infections caused by the sling. The medicine damaged my connective tissue causing over a dozen ruptures or tears. I tore the bottom of my right foot a little over a year ago. My foot was immobilized for months and I was diagnosed with CRPS. It has been terrible. After about five months, it spread from my right foot to the left foot and up my right side. I live in Alabama where medical marijuana isn't available. I travel nearly five hours to a neurologist and have seen several doctors locally. I feel like nobody knows what to do for me. I take three blood pressure meds, lyrica, cymbalta and Norco. I feel so miserable some days. My skin burns all over, every joint hurts, both feet throb if I'm up too long, my muscles hurt terribly and are very weak. I have tremors that get bad from just bathing and putting on my makeup. If I'm still for too long, my extremities get very cold and throb. I can't seem to remember things well and feel so isolated from the rest of the world. It helps a lot to read other people's stories. So sad though to know how many others suffer as well.

@peach414144 The squamous cell cancer from my forehead looked like an eraser dot, but sunken in. Dermatologist was certain "it's just an old scar". I knew it wasn't. The resulting scar is horizontal, but I have no feeling across that part, cannot raise my eyebrow. I tell people it is an access point for my third eye ;))

Hello All, my name is Tom. I suffer from chronic rectal pain on my left side for years. I've been told it's bursitus or a tear. It cannot be fixed due to the location behind nerves. It feels like someone is pushing on a big bruise 24/7/365. Thus I'm seeing a pain doctor who is excellent.

Besides the rectal issue I'm having terrible left leg pain
I wake up 2 to 3 times a night due to the pain. Also when I wake up my left hand is numb. I'm seeing a neurosurgeon tomorrow which I'm guessing is going to say my lower back is causing the pain.

Does anyone in this social platform have chronic rectal pain?

Thanks for reading and wishing all a pain free day.

Hi, cronic pain from military 29 year career, 15 implants sums it up. For the past 12 months Ive had 6 R hip revisions and and am to have a Girdlestone procedure, mostley because of multiple hospital bacterial issues. Im told that the pain associated with this procedure wont be much different than what Im currently experiencing - by the way I have a surgically fractured femur stem with a prosthesis that has rotated and might have a broken element, so my pain is excruchiating. How do you cope with over months when my 3 weeks are brain numbing?

, if you think you're going to be in pain from multiple sources for the rest of your life I would recommend looking into an implanted pain pump. It goes in your abdomen with a catheter up your spine and delivers very small doses of Narcotics directly to the nerves and deals with almost pain anywhere in your body. We're talking about drugs on the order of two to four milligrams of Dilaudid every 24 hours. Drugs delivered this way are 300 times more potent than those delivered by mouth. That's not the right way to say it there not more potent the 300 times more effective. You don't have the problems with addiction you don't have the problems with side effects, somnolence, you never get high, it's just the best thing you're ever going to find to put pain behind you. I still live with pain I am disabled by pain because my pain lights up when I walk so I don't walk very far but prior to getting the pump I was taking huge doses of Narcotics which were totally ineffective. I feel like I found the answer. Where are you located?

I fell and damaged my ribs. Fortunately for me I have very good bones. I suffer from RA, Afib, and chronic pain. When my dog knocked me down last week,. Now this is a story for another time. I went to ER by ambulance. I am 76. They sent me home after x Ray's. No breaks. But lots of pain. They refused me and pain med. My blood Pressure is usually very very normal 128 over 76. It climbed to 150 in ER and today I am 180 over 80. There is no exceptions on pain meds for seniors. What to do. Now my primary gave me Tylonol with codeine. Enough for 3 days..

I have neuropathy and it is fairly well controlled buy Lyrica and amitriptyline. If cost is a factor regular Neurontin could replace the Lyrica.
