Had anyone had a gerd test for silent gerd?
Dr Wolf at Cedars LA said he thinks I could have silent gerd and got MAC from aspiration of water with MAC.
Has anyone else taken gerd test?
Thank you,

Happy you found it helpful. Yes, that water issue is a complex one. Many respiratory therapists say to stay well hydrated but then there’s Dr. Huitt and National Jewish’s attitude towards minimizing water intake to prevent reflux.
The ENT that I saw 10 years ago was Dr. Koufman. She also referred me for consult for fundoplication but I didn't go through with it. I hadn't been diagnosed with bronchiectasis or NTM at that time. When I started care at NYU I scheduled a surgical consult to discuss possible fundoplication and the surgeon referred me for GI testing to determine eligibility. The Bravo didn't show significant reflux so that didn't go anywhere. I'm wondering about the chronology of your reflux treatment and your pulmonary condition(s).
Hi Davis,
I have not had any reflux treatment.
I have bronchiectasis MAC and COPD.
Just got a vest and ordered nebulizer and saline. I have an aerobika.

@becleartoday Today and yesterday, I tried the "no more than 6oz of water per hour" advice by Dr. Huitt and honestly I have been thirsty all day.
I tried it to for a period of time and it didn’t work out for me, either yes,. With that said, I do eat a piece of bread before exercising and I am more mindful about bending over at the waist during the day.
Small changes can make a big difference!

Good reminders, thank you!
