P. S. One issue I've faced with Eliquis prescription from Mayo cardiology is that once the prescription is "written" annually for one pharmacy, they prefer not to write another for another pharmacy in the U. S. let alone Canada. I wonder if other people are having better results with their prescriptions from Mayo. Thanks.
Hi @pickleball1946, others members have mentioned getting their prescription drugs through online pharmacies. You're wise to do your research on the specific pharmacy you use when it comes to ordering online. Some pharmacy websites can look trustworthy when they are not. It's important to always check to make sure an online pharmacy is legitimate.
I offer these articles that offer tips on finding reliable online services.
Using this email in art to ask a different question .. how do we find out how to use Mayo Clinic Correct more effectively. I'm confused about some aspects of it
Your response here to the Canadian pharmacies is valued as well.

I recently was prescribed Eliquis at Rochester Mayo in October. I had an initial RX done by the ER for a starting dose sent to the pharmacy closest to my home my not my normal one I use in Rochester. It was never picked up due to my making another trip to the ER for a blood clot in the lungs and an overnight stay in the hospital. They sent me home with another prescription to my normal pharmacy without a hiccup. I picked up the second RX on my way home from the hospital and tried to pickup the other one at the local pharmacy and it was denied by my insurance company thinking it was fraud for 2 RXs in one day. I've changed pharmacy's a couple of times over the years with Mayo with no problems with my doctors writing a new one.
Check out.

That is correct, grldweiner66. However that price is for the med manufactured in Mauritius... not Canada. Some folks are concerned with non-Canadian meds.
Apparently all of PharmStore's generic Eliquis is from Mauritius.

Perhaps I misunderstood, but they were quite clear that they did not want to write another prescription for a less expensive vendor. Eventually, I prevailed and saved a few dollars just to be clear. Perhaps it had something to do with being in Rochester for you.
I get my apixaban (generic eliquis) from MapleLeaf Meds. They charge $169 for a 3 month supply (10 mg tablets 2x daily for 180 tablets) which includes shipping. They have been excellent in my opinion. They notify me when I need to reorder, they call me if I my prescription needs to be refilled, and they are on top of everything. Very timely delivery as well. This works great for me.
I can't recall if I sent a note of appreciation for this .. and should have if I didn't.
I was trying to find this access point for sometime. However, I already have a question pertaining to following a discussion topic --- the directions say to access the word "follow" for those of interest and otherwise I don't see that option any place.
