Hi, Kelsey: My name is Gail, My screen name is Geeg because my best friend,s little boy couldn't say "Gail," It just kind of stuck. I have Fibromyalgia and of course, I have good days and bad days. I have a couple of issues to talk about if I get comfortable. Being retired, I m pretty isolated, so I hope to fall in with some simpaticos.
@geeg013
Hi Gail!
There are many of us who are retired and have Fibromyalgia and other issues that cause us pain and days when all we want to do is stay in bed.
Welcome!
Ronnie (GRANDMAr)
@lioness, you are too kind! We help each other here. That's what I tell everyone. Hood luck with your meds. Take it easy and give it a proper chance to work. Let me know how you are getting along, ok? Love and hugs,
Mamacita
@geeg013 your in the right group welcome from me also . We give each other ideas to help with fibromyalgia and get ideas from other people This is a wonderful group
@geeg013
Welcome Geeg/Gail. I'm also Gail, but I will return to using my "handle", Gailb. That way people can tell us apart. Grandmar is right about there being many members on Mayo Connect who have Fibromyalga. They are a great group of people.
I just got tested a month or so ago, and I am fortunate that I don't have Fibromyalga. I am a Volunteer Mentor and am not a medical professional. I cannot give medical advice or diagnose problems. However, I experience chronic pain and have experience in mental health, CBD/THC and a few other areas. I offer my experience, knowledge, listening, and support where I can. This is an active and helpful group.
@geeg013 Howdy from California! Another fibro-warrior here! There is a wealth of information and experiences that we share here, and it is definitely not one-size-fits-all. When you feel comfortable to share, we're here for you.

"I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in". We shouldn't have to parse out what is legal or illegal in which state concerning pot. The notion that pot is bad but alcohol is just fine is ridiculous. 40 million plus Americans have been smoking pot everyday since 1970. If it one tenth as dangerous to smoke and drive as the government says it is, our roads would be undrivable. If it were really the "access" drug that leads to hard drug addiction we'd have 100 times the heroin addicts we have. If it were legal and you bought it at the "pot" store or grew it in the back yard, you'd have never meet the folks that sell hard drugs. We've been living with these fantasies about marijuana since the 1920's. More recently it's been about the left versus the right culture wars. One half of all of the prisoners in our federal penitentiaries are there for 1/2 pound of pot or less. Who wants to keep things as they are? The private prison industry has the largest vested interest in keeping pot illegal. Folks who want to suppress the votes of black Americans are right up there too. One felony for selling pot, your vote is gone for a life time. I get really frustrated when I think about this assinein situation. It's gone on too long,it's time for change. So may of the people who participate in these discussion groups that we have could benefit directly or indirectly from legal marijuana. If anyone could buy medical product made from pot, the market would explode with good new products. Presently, that market is too small to attract real research dollars.
We indeed have a dope problem in America, we have far too many dopes in positions of power. Love and Blessings to each and everyone of you who read these comments and Love and Blessings to all of the folks who have created and sustain this absurd situation.
Dear @impatricia, call Dr. Michael Chankon Park. M Health 909 Fulton St., Mpls MN 612-624-6666. Ask about the pain pump. You may be being refused care because some fool has branded you a "drug seeker". ( I always wanted to say, "Well of course I drug seeker you idiot, I'm in pain and I'm seeking drugs to fix that") Good luck, better days are coming, I just know that is true. Love and Blessings
