I am sorry for the issues you had with your shots. For years, I went from pain doc to pain doc to get help with my lumbar. Some gave me injections that lasted a few days (at best). When I moved to Florida, I did some research and found a great pain doc. His lumbar shots have worked for 6-12 weeks. However, the last 2 have not worked. I am going for 1 more, tomorrow. If it works, great! If not, I am going to speak with my neurosurgeon when I go for my 12 week post-op appointment (next week). I know the shots can hurt, but it is worth it if it helps. When I got my first shot, the doc put me out. I changed docs after that and he did not put you to sleep. The pain of the shot lasted just a few minutes. Yes, after the shot, maybe for 2 days, I have pain, but being put out would not help with that. Most of the time, I am fine by the next morning.
Thank you for your concern!

ART doesn't use the typical chiropractic manipulation. My surgeon didn't want me to have any manipulation either. My chiropractor didn't do any, only the ART which is totally different. ART is primarily deep massage of specific nerve and muscle areas, with movement of the limb closest to the nerve. My doctor also uses laser treatment to warm my muscles. Good luck moving forward Ronnie.

No wonder I was in such pain after PT. I had to quit. It made feel worse than when I came. I realize after therapy I am always told it was typical. NOT
Hi! I am Diane. I have chronic pain in many areas of my body. I was in a severe car accident many years ago, which I was ejected out of the car. I crushed my shoulder and collar bone. Years later, I got rear-ended in another car accident. That led to a ruptured disc in neck, then a fusion in 1991. Chronic Pain started! Now degenerated disc diseases, pinched nerve, sick migraines and chronic pain always. Many procedures have been done with little relief! No income and am married with a 13 year old. Never talked to others like this. Been trying to deal with everything, but getting very stressed!

Okay. Suffering the effects of a new attack of osteoarthritis that is here and there and just about anywhere. I do not have pain in my knees thankfully ... Want to get some advice from members if such precautions are suggested ... Or does this condition simply get worse as time goes by. Oh- oh just list a massive inclusion about the pills I must use to maintain a happy state fighting to keep within the measures of 50-80 beats perminute fighting aFib.

@otherwaytolive can you share a little more about treatments you have tried? and how they worked for you?

Oh my dear, you are living my life. Fell down stairs while on crutches for ankle surgery. 3 rear-end collisions....one resulted in a miscarriage and I had a 4 year old at home and was a single parent..... the last one initiated the chronic pain syndrome. Problem was, I had no idea how these incidents would complicate my life in my 60's and 70's. So my wish for you is to take very good care. You can begin by making gentle yoga with stretches and strength building poses a daily ritual for 15-20 minutes. Listen and learn with awareness through mindfulness and meditation. Keep busy with activities that serve as distractions from the pain. Be good to yourself.....by resting when you need a break. Simply say, "I need to rest my body right now." Give yourself permission to vent right here on Connect. You will meet some compassionate and caring folks who totally understand your issues and challenges.
@gailb I am interested in this treatment so the chiropractor does this then Gail? Mine is getting a massues so if this is correct I,'ll check into it.Thanks
