Has anyone been given Trodelvy?
I finished 3 months of Keytruda, Taxol and Carboplatin followed by 3 months of Keytruda+AC (once every 3 weeks). I had my SMX on Sept 22. Pathology showed I have a RCB-2 meaning I have a 25% chance of recurrence. My doctor wants to enter me in a clinical trial which could randomize me to Keytruda+Xeloda or Keytruda+Trodelvy. I am trying to find someone who has been on Trodelvy to find out what the side effects are like. I know it causes hair loss, fatigue and diarrhea. I was able to work through my first six months of treatment. I am concerned this chemo will be so harsh I won’t be able to, plus I am not sure I can bear waiting another 6 months before hair starts growing back.

I also have questions about Trodelvy. My wife is HR+/HER-, and has been on Verzenio and Faslodex for three years. Her MRI and PET scans in July showed the bone mets were lit up, and that the cancer had spread to the liver. She didn't want to do chemo yet, so her oncologist put her on Letrozole, and it unfortunately did not work, the newest scans showed the liver mets had grown. Her onc has recommended Trodelvy, she only has a week to decide if she wants to pursue it or not, and she is well aware of her other option. Anyone out there on, or been on Trodelvy ? Would love to hear about others experience on it.
Thanks, Kris
Hi @sam2020 and @jknows, I'm tagging fellow members @onemaster @spooz2 and @jessi684422 who I think may have experience with Trodelvy (sacituzumab govitecan-hziy) treatment, albeit now for breast cancer.
Kris, did your wife decide to go on Trodelvy?
@jknows, did you decide to go on the trial?
My wife, Jenny, decided that she will not be pursuing chemo. I support her decision, and we will move forward with quality of life being most important. She struggled with this decision, so she went on a spiritual retreat to guide her.

Hi Sam, I faced a similar decision with my dad and supported his decision. This may be too early for you both to think about yet, but I might suggest looking into hospice availability in your area. Hospice support can make a difference. Peace and strength to you both.
I also decided not to go into the trial. Prayed fervently for wisdom and also asked a lot of questions and I simply did not feel like it was right for me. The fact my triple negative is also lobular (not ductal) entered into the decision. So tired of being lumped in with ductal triple negative with no effort to look at outcomes separately. Someday they will have targeted therapy for TNLBC, but it is, unfortunately, not this day!!
Hello, I have started on chemo Trodelvy in 12/22/23. I loss my hair a week late. One cycle is every two weeks on and one week off. I am doing fine, I don’t have nausea, diarrhea or other symptoms only feel tired when I exercise. and I slept well most time at night. Everyday I go to take gentle yoga class in the cancer resources center. It helps me to focus on deep breathing exercises. I know I might be on chemo for a long time since I got Stage 4 TNBC. It has spread on my lung, chest wall and bones. There is no surgery available for me. But I will be glad if chemo can shrinking or control the tumors with no further spreading. I will find out on the next scan test.
