Hi,
My mother went to her dermatologist with these symptoms and as Grover's disease was considered her doctor considered that she may be allergic to one of her medications. She found out that one of her medications had been substituted with a generic brand. After a year of itching, she found relief when she switched back to the original medication.
Just a thought to consider.

What medication was she taking when she got the rash? Is there a preservative in it?

I got my shingles shots last July and September, waiting 10 weeks between shots. I subsequently came down with Grovers disease. I am 99% positive that the shots were the cause. Absolutely NOTHING works to relieve the itching. For me the only effective remedy, to a small degree, is Motrin. NOTHING else, despite all the prescribed medicines, pills and sprays prescribed by my Dermatologist. I believe, had I waited for 4 months, I may have avoided it.

Same thing happened to me and it’s really becoming unbearable. Tried everything about to try Neem oil🤪

Other than taking Cilantro smoothies for over two years, now taking the oil, available on Amazon, ice packs on the areas that itch for at least a couple of minutes whenever it itches, is the best remedy to stop the discomfort that I know of, and I’ve tried all the creams.

This is interesting - I have a similar skin problem that appeared in the last few months. It will flare up and then disappear. How did you happen to be diagnosed? Was it diagnosed by an infectious disease doctor, dermatologist or PCP? Could it be Covid and/or Covid vaccine related?

Hope to hear from you. Thank you.

It is diagnosed by a punch biopsy, usually by a dermatologist.

Apparently too rare to bother studying!! Seems lots of us got it after shingrix vaccine. Coincidence??

I am so sorry to hear about all of the suffering.
For me, I had the shingles shots 5+ years ago with no complications.
After I received a Covid Moderna shot- after all others had been Pfizer- that’s when my Grover’s disease emerged- in full force. Anyone else? Thanks

I assume it could be Moderna Covid vaccine, I had that around the same time as the shingrix. Just know I’ve now had Grover’s disease for 2 years. No help in sight 😩

I also had 3 Moderna Covid shots and developed Grover's shortly after....it's been 2 years for me.

Awesome to hear about your Dupixent success. I've finally been approved and will start next week. I'm a little squeamish about the self administering but so excited to finally get this wonder treatment!
