Transplant: Vaccines: Covid, Flu, RSV
Hi Transplant Family!
I hope everyone is doing well.
i have a question...Are you getting all three vaccine shots? Covid, Flu and RSV?

I like to check with my pharmacist and in this situation she suggested I spread the Covid and rsv out just a bit.
Hi @millds 😊
Thanks so much for sharing your discussion. My local nephrologist recommended the same thing.... Space out the vaccines if you can.
@charlie5454s, I want to send you a belated Welcome to Connect and a sincere congratulations for 18 1/2 years of living because of your miracle kidney transplant at Mayo Rochester! That is where I had my simultaneous liver and kidney transplant in 2009! It is the place where miracles happen and where the care is beyond anything I have ever experienced anywhere!
On my 10th anniversary, right after I had my last protocol kidney biopsy, I asked the doctor what I should do to be sure that my kidney was going to last for 10 more years. His response: Take your meds; follow your lab schedule; avoid alcohol. That seemed pretty easy to me. I see that you are keeping up with your vaccines. So am I, and so is my husband as a result of what my transplant nurse told him he has to do to protect himself to protect me.
@charlie5454s, I would love to hear more about you and your transplant, especially how you are enjoying life now. I hope to be reading bits and pieces as we connect and interact here in the transplant group's many discussions.
I also want to invite you to share your story:

Charlie, I'm happy you are here, but might I ask you what brought you to Connect?
@h2opup54, Welcome to our conversation. I see that this is your first post, and I see that you are wearing a T-shirt for team transplant! Are you a lung transplant patient or recipient?
I'm a liver/kidney recipient. Mayo Rochester 2009. I have had my shots, too - Every Year!
I look forward to hearing about you and your T-shirt.
