Fells like UTI but test is negative
At least once a year I get symptoms of a UTI but the tests are negative. This time the test shows nitrates but the other parts of negative. I’ve been on nitrofurin five days and don’t feel a lot better. I don’t have burning when I urinate but I have pelvic and low back pain, lightheadedness, and just don’t feel great.Anyone else had a similar experience? I have a history of UTIs.

The issues never seem to end!
Ps silly question,
Is this a urologist office or a walk-in clinic? If walk-in, maybe you could hook up with a urologists office? I’m not sure if they do dilation outside of a hospital or urology office…
I live in the middle of nowhere. I go to a health clinic. We have to travel quite a distance to see specialists.
😱 to your distance from health care…
maybe you could see a specialist once, to see if the dilation would be recommended. Then you would know if it helps and if the trip is worth it…
My Urologist treats at the visit-I don’t have to come back for treatment.
I am hoping and praying for your comfort
Your comments made me realize that too many times I am rushing through urination and need to slow down. M,probably not emptying my bladder all the way. Raising four children and working as a second grade teacher I was always in a hurry to pee and not be in a bathroom. So now I’m slowing down! Thanks so much for the suggestions. I bet this is part of the, problem!
Yes!!! My issues started I believe, when I started my business in late 20’s, when I would not go when I needed to and then would be in a rush, always, and most likely did not empty fully. Also, stress can cause these issues-I had 25 employees and there was never any stress 🤣🤣🤣
I hope that this helps you-such a simple thing can cause sooo many problems…
Good luck and I will be thinking about you!
I think this could definitely be contributing to my UTI’s.
Unfortunately, nor have most doctors. Apparently it used to be mixed in with an MS diagnosis but have now identified it as a rare autoimmune disease on its own. If interested, you can go to projectmog org.
Just read about MOGAD…I had never heard of it. Simple blood test-talk to primary or doctor treating bladder issues?
I will have to read up on the meds used to treat…
Thanks for the info! I will definitely read up on it.
