Has anyone experienced internal vibrations?

Posted by redladyjoni @redladyjoni, Nov 26, 2018

I started having the only way I can explain it is internal vibrations. I've had them for 3 months now, I went to t hihe ER and they told me it was anxiety. A doctor diagnosed me at a clinic as having Lyme disease I've started a 21-day prescription of Doxycycline I'm on day 7. I went to a psychiatrist a week ago to get something because of my nerves are just over the brink. He prescribed me Gabapentin and Valium I've only been on them a few days.
Has anyone experienced these internal vibrations?I have them almost 24/7 chest neck stomach from the hips down. I have more lab tests that should be in today, but the doctor's office said that they would not call unless there was some abnormality in the lab work.

Hi,
I wish there was more research to determine if Covid vaccines can initiate internal tremors/vibrations. I began with the silent or internal vibrations a short period after my second Covid Vaccine. I didn't know what to do about them and waited awhile before I could see a Neurologist. They are full body vibrations at times and other times it is only my feet and lower legs. The Neurologist started me on Alpha Lipoic Acid 600 mg daily. I took it over a year and eventually it calmed down, although not totally gone. It is worst when I am trying to fall asleep or during the night, they are present when I awaken. During the day, they are not as noticeable except for my feet. Then I got my 6th Covid Vaccine booster and a week and a half later, they came back in full force. Very discouraging. In my mind, the vaccine may have been the cause. I also have much louder ringing in my ears during the same period. Neurologist said that anxiety can also initiate them but although he has heard about this, he is uncertain of the cause. I felt like I was going crazy trying to explain what I was feeling to my physician. Sometimes I thought there must be a huge machinery room on the floor below me in the hospital because I could feel it vibrating and had to check with others to see if they also felt the vibration, which of course they could not. It is not painful but very unnerving and interferes with my sleep and makes me feel more anxious. Hope we all get relief.

You are describing EXACTLY how I feel. Everything you've said is spot on. Except I never had the feeling that it was my Covid vaccines. I really wish my doctor could figure out what it is. My own research has me thinking I might be taking too much collagen. I'm giving that up to see if it makes a difference.

I have internal vibrations also, but they don’t really bother me. It’s only in bed and I have no pain. It’s not something I choose to dwell on. If it were to begin to cause other problems I’m sure I would have to check into it. I feel like it’s all my muscles having some spasms, but so small it’s just a vibration. Pray everyone finds a solution 🙏🏼!

The Neurologist prescribed Beta Blocker Propanolol but did not help and I did not take it any more.

I have been told the internal vibrations are anxiety. I'm not so sure that this is correct.

I have had these same internal vibrations since April 2020. Have seen 2 Cardio and 2 neuro and all said they didn’t know what I had. Each one asked if I was anxious and I said yes, anxious about these vibrations. I was about to give up when I was reading an article about Senator Tim Caine describing his symptoms of vibrations he had that mirrored exactly what I had…. Long Covid (which I must have been asymptomatic ). I went to my GP and described to her what I found out. She has now referred me to a Long Covid Clinic and I am more hopeful now that I might be going in the right direction.

That is really interesting to me. I have wondered about Long Covid. I had Covid November-December, 2020. My doctors think it is anxiety, but I bet to differ ...

I had them at night about 6 months ago. I think they are a weakness in the nervous system. I have found eating a cucumber a day (good for nervous system) helpful. I don't have it anymore. Maybe connected to covid in some way, but treating it symptomatically seems right. Was weird.
