Looking for app to track diet

Posted by crickard70 @crickard70, Jul 7, 2023

Recently some kind member suggested an app to track daily food intake and an additional app that was $80 to help chart your fat, carbs etc. I actually wrote down and cannot find and haven’t been able to find again in chats. Sorry, please resend if you get this and Thank you.

I know it is a bummer for any add’l charges, but I’m still impressed with “My Fitness Pal”—a lot is free still. I’m so impressed with their stats on Indiv products—a huge wealth of info, by brand, serving portion, etc. This really comes in handy when shopping for groceries.

I use an app called BARIASTICS. I really like it and it's free!

I use lose it. About 3 dollars per month-they charged by the year-it was in the range of 40 dollars. It is a wonderful site. You can make your own recipes up and it computes all info for the recipe.

I use two websites to calculate micronutrients: cronometer and also myfooddata
I don't use them daily, out of laziness, but I still find them helpful.
Cronometer has an app option, I believe.
It has both free and paid versions.
myfooddata.com is free at this moment, but their site says that they will be moving to a paid-subscription model, and that they have an offer to become a permanent member for a low one-time fee today . . . ?
Each website has its own strengths and weaknesses, imo.

I have used so many apps and most of them charge you so much. I am loving Baritastic. It is free and you can even scan the barcode with your phone and it will pop up with all the info. Where MyFitness Pal asked for money just to use that. Give it a try! It’s free you have nothing to loose. 👍🏻

I've used a Food and Exercise Tracking App called Cronometer for several years. Easy to use and has good food tracking features. $35 per year for a Gold Membership.

I use myfitnesspal. I pay for the yearly subscription because I just find it to be the easiest app.
