Has anyone been using Tymlos?
Has anyone been using Tymlos? I received devastating news that my bone density score is 4.6, much worse than my age of 72. Recommendation is Tymlos.

Thanks for the note about Tymlos. Do you know where I can find the research that concludes with that decisive result.
Chris
I actually have been corrected and I was given false info last week so please disregard that
Today the Tymlos nurse suggested I do the shot in the evening bc of possible “ dizzy “
Do you have the bc ability to remove any posts in your conversation bc I’ve been corrected on misinformation I posted. I incorrectly said Tymlos causes brittle bones can you remove any of my comments on that?
Why not stick with Tymlos if no side effects?
I am interested in what happened to you after Tymlos; please explain. Thanks. Kathleen
My doc (Dr. Mc) said Tymlos speeds up both processes of bone-building, both the resorption and the building, so that the first few months on Tymlos the resorptive process would increase, making the bones more susceptible to fracture. I was more careful with my activities the first three months. I am in my 7th month now, so have confidence that I am past that vulnerable time.
@kathleenintexas that is interesting. I also see Dr. Mc and have read both his books and have never heard or seen that! I am curious and will look into that especially since I post on here based on what I have been told by my docs. The first 6 months show the most effectiveness as well.
I start Ttmlos next week. Quite nervous right now. I hope this works for me. These chats really help. I was freaking out because I didn’t see much chat about Tymlos. Now I see it’s the newest on the market !
@ferrer1105 Tymlos is not the newest on the market. Evenity is the newest.
I have been on Tymlos for almost two years. I have had excellent gains and went from severe osteoporosis on the DEXA to borderline. Tymlos builds quality bone and helps with healing, according to my docs.
I am sensitive to meds and started Tymlos at a lower dose and ramped up. The pen has "clicks" to measure out the dose. I did 6-7 clicks for a year and a half and have been doing 7 or 8 clicks now- mostly a full dose, finally.
With bone scores that were low and several spinal fractures, I was willing to endure side effects but it hasn't been too bad over time. I have found the side effects ease up so if you have some, try to keep going. I do it in the morning and try to get up and out because activity helps me with side effects. Everyone is different. I also hydrate.
