Iron Depletion in Blood related to COVID?
Has there been any reports of iron depletion in the blood after receiving the Pfizer vaccine?

Me too. I am 66 and after the Pfizer vaccine 1 & 2 spring 2021 I was exhausted and found to be anemic sept 2021.
Hello, Sue; I read that you checked VAERS and found no reports of iron deficiency connected with the mRNA vaccines. I find that discouraging because soon after receiving the two Pfizer vaccines I tested for low iron and ferritin levels. At first my PCP thought that I had some history of low iron levels but upon checking my med history he admitted that it was an anomaly. I mentioned that the ferritin operates in the body via mRNA protocols. He said that he did not think that the two were connected.
I had to go for IV iron supplementation (Venofer); I asked the hematologist his opinion of the serum iron levels being affected by the mRNA vaccines. He agreed with my PCP that there was likely no connection. I chose to enter a comment on VAERS, indicating that two of my Dr's did not think that the two events were connected - BUT I wanted to leave a record of my experience on VAERS just in case there were other anomalous serum iron cases.
I have a history of borderline pancytopenia in any case; of course there is no proof that the mRNA shots have caused any iron anomalies in recipients but VAERS would seem to be the place to accumulate such data.
I recovered following the Venofer injections in 2021. Now, in May/June of 2023 I am once again suddenly experiencing low iron/ferritin serum levels - and notable fatigue {I am 80 in three weeks.} My PCP and I discussed this issue yesterday and he will likely order another series of iron Venofer injections.
I realize that there may be no established connection between the mRNA vaccines and the body's iron levels; IF there is to be a connection established it might well be through such forums as this.

I must recommend Dr Delrie, hematologist at Mississippi Cancer Institute in McComb,Ms for his caring for me with what I presume was iron deficiency anemia caused by the xpili bacteria attacking my stomach in 2000 after covid in February. By 2023 I was in sad shape but now am healed by a good catholic named Dr. Delrie from Alexandria, La. Iron from a bottle now constipates me..
"...iron deficiency anemia caused by the xpili bacteria..."
Can you please clarify this statement? 'pili' is a common term - "Fimbriae and pili are thin, protein tubes originating from the cytoplasmic membrane of many bacteria {https://bio.libretexts.org/Bookshelves/Microbiology/Microbiology_(Kaiser)/Unit_1%3A_Introduction_to_Microbiology_and_Prokaryotic_Cell_Anatomy/2%3A_The_Prokaryotic_Cell_-_Bacteria/2.5%3A_Structures_Outside_the_Cell_Wall/2.5C%3A_Fimbriae_and_Pili}
I am not finding a specific 'xpili bacteria'; that would seem to indicate any bacteria that did not have pili protein projections.
As to Flagyl {metronidazole}, I took it some years ago and got rid of an ulcer; __it also got rid of a decades long painful rosacea__. I am still free of the rosacea many years later. I cannot point to any deleterious side effects to the Flagyl. It is specifically indicated in treatment of h-pylori bacteria that cause ulcers. I have since pushed Flagyl in treatment of rosacea. corsair9
I experienced the same thing. Family and life-long personal history of high iron (Saturation hit 75-78, Hemoglobin 16), got two Pfizers in July 2021 and August 2021, and my hemoglobin went down to 11.5 within 2 months. Ferritin dropped to "undetectable" and then "stabilized" at 3. Iron is currently at 4, saturation at 5. Platelets at the upper limit (what does this mean?). I don't want to take iron supplements due to my high iron history and the unknown (to me) cause for this sudden drop. Never got Covid, tested a dozen times with 3 different types of tests. I also have the laboured breathing, but no cough! I have seen several types of specialists and not one doctor has asked me about Covid, the virus nor the vaccine.
Exactly. I have had this for 2 years and just found this site today. Doctors do not want to discuss anything related to Covid or the vaccine. I went to a pulmonologist and they never asked me if I ever had Covid, nor if I was vaxxed!
That's the point, they don't want to look so that they can continue to be blind and avoid controversy.
I am now able to take ferrite sulfate from the dollar stores with the blue label. I have my next appointment in Nov 23 to check my iron deficiency anemia. The iron infusion was over 500 bucks with Medicare so I will take the ferrite sulfate pills(62mg) as an Imodium replacement..haa.. Good luck everyone..
Thanks for correcting my memory for H-Pylori and the ulcer(s?) it caused. My buddy in Oxford,Ms(thaxton crossing) had this problem before 1991 when I asked how he was doing at a transmitter site in Bude,Ms. His ulcer(s?) required a blood transfusion and a long stay in the hospital.He said they got it with an antibiotic which sounded strange to me but over 30 years later I remembered our conversation when my wheat allergy cause by the iron in enriched wheat flour caused loose stool and later diarrhea and finally blood in the stool after covid in feb of 2020 and the moderna later in 2020.I also got the covid delta in 2022.My middle son and his wife refused to take the vac....
Covid Delta 2021..Had colonoscopy in 2021 too..another 400 dollars spent on covid straight from Satan..Colon was fine..
