Nipple sparing DMX or not?
I’m going to be scheduling prophylactic DMX with Diep due to Adh and family risk. Need a lift prior to DMX if I go nipple sparing route. This adds a procedure and recovery and also a delay. Is it worth it?
What is a radial scar? Mine was found during screening mammo then ultrasound then core needle biopsy then excisional biopsy to confirm. Microcalcifications were the clue I believe

Same story here.
Mammo didn’t show, US found a 5mm mass with soma calcification.
Fine needle found papilloma with atypias.
Waiting for my surgery next Tuesday😖

I know you've been weighing your options for a while now, since you posted last November or possibly even earlier. This is not an easy decision. Did you perhaps decide not to have a mastectomy and now you're reconsidering? What are you finding most challenging about making a decision?

Most challenging is understanding my real risk and whether prophylactic DMX is warranted as that’s a very large surgery. I’m still very much on the fence so will do monitoring plan until I can decide
