How about a laugh, (hopefully)
I believe laughter is the best medicine. Laughter has actually been scientifically proven to help people with depression issues.
Let’s give it a try so we can all get happy and feel better. Many Epilepsy forums I’ve been on had joke sections. I was probably the biggest joke of all since I didn’t get a lot of the jokes. They said the jokes couldn’t be above 4th grade level for me to understand them so my jokes may be rather simplistic but let’s give it a try.
Have a lovely day everyone,
Jake

HAHAHA!
Bebo ergo sum! Try that at the bar next time.
TY!!
Ham on 5. I've worked in 4 delis and I did not know that rye was 5! Hmm, maybe I forgot that detail.
Thanks for the explication!
😂 Ego violenter eiectus e talea cum commento similis est
(LOL. I am that geek who took Latin)
Hi Lagrange, Sisyphus and Lori ( and everybody else who stops to read this),
RE: Don't drink the Hemlock/ philosophy thread
You guys are working our brains as well as our funny bones!
I LOVE this Connect!
Lagrange, I'm too lazy and tired-eyed to research it further, but I do not recollect Sisyphus going down the other side of the hill. I thought the gods just made him start again every morning. I prefer the down-the-hill version-- How about that for a peculiar statement?
Have a great day, evyerone!
Hi Valerie,
Thanks for your reply!
In my experience, sisters are a mixed bag- best friend to worst enemy, in the same person! And, as another person commented recently, you can't chuck 'em!
Since these posts are supposed to bring a laugh, I will remind everybody about the movie (White Christmas?) with Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby in which they do an act dressed as sisters with giant feathered fans and sing:
Lord help the mister
who comes between me and my sister,
And Lord help the sister
who comes between me and my man!
Wow, what a time capsule of stereotypes! But Danny Kaye peeking out from behind blue feathers is, in my humble opinion, still a RIOT!
Have a good day!
I've watched White Christmas too many times thanks to my grown kids who play it every Christmas. My only comment is don't they hae any other song in their repetoire than Sisters? Don't they know any other songs or do they just come out and sing Sisters and leave??!!
Hi, Valerie!
I sent you a private message about the quote. It isn't funny so I didn't put it in here.
Working our brain cells is fun, if not really funny.
🙂
The guys do the act so that the real performers (Rosemary Clooney and ...?) can skip out of town secretly. I can't remember why the gals gotta go.
I think maybe the cops chase the guys off the stage.
Anyway, it's pretty silly but it makes me smile. I hope it cheers up some other folks this morning, too. Kind of simpler times...
5 is not actually rye, it was a play on words. It was the memorable punchline for that scene.
I bet that after working at 4 delis, you've got some delicious stories (pun intended).
ROFL! Good one!
