Anyone had experience with OsteoStrong, who is not a franchisee?
Has anyone had experience with OsteoStrong? It suggests you will get a large increase in bone density while using their facility 10 minutes per WEEK. Somewhat pricey at $99 and up per month, but am curious if anyone who is NOT a franchisee, has experienced this program?

It has long been known that high-intensity resistance exercise and impact increases osteogenic loading and facilitates bone mineral density acquisition. Several of the manuscripts and abstracts shared by OsteoStrong™ describe the effects of high-intensity resistance exercise using the BioDensity equipment on force production, leg muscle strength, HA1C diabetes marker and bone mineral density (BMD) outcomes in small uncontrolled studies of adults (sample sizes ranged from n=9 to n=21). The larger published studies they shared examined levels of impact loading on BMD outcomes in adolescents, assessed sex differences and learning effects in maximal force production and reported in an abstract that the underweight adults only were able to produce adequate force production for osteogenic loading. None of the studies were adequately powered randomized controlled trials investigating the effects of the OsteoStrong™ exercise program on BMD outcome, and none compared the effectiveness of the BioDensity program to a more generic, high-intensity resistance exercise program. The studies to date do provide preliminary data for this type of large effectiveness trails which are needed in order to change guidelines or make recommendations.
In summary, the scientific community has long known the benefits of high-intensity resistance and impact exercise on BMD. While the high-intensity BioDensity exercise program may be beneficial for increasing BMD in adults, the evidence presented does not demonstrate efficacy of the OsteoStrong™ program on BMD outcomes. Furthermore, we do not know how it compares to the benefits of the current BHOF recommendations for weight bearing and resistance exercise. Further research is warranted before the benefits of the OsteoStrong™ program can be determined.
I have been going to Osteo Strong for about 5 months. Too early for a bone density test but I definitely feel stronger. I am interested in hearing experiences of others. The people at Osteo Strong that I have spoken to are all very positive about their results. I really didn’t want to take any of the medications my doctor offered.

Monash university in Melbourne are conducting an independent study into osteostrong, 800 participants. Results available Dec 2023.
I too have started the osteostrong programme, but as there is very little supportive data, am dubious re it’s claims of up to 14% improvements in bmd.
It’s expensive but like you I won’t go onto the drugs( kidney issues and effectively one is on these drugs fir life) so osteostrong was the only other option.
Am dubious about strontium citrate too as the reports are conflicting re genuine increase in bmd as opposed to ‘fooling’ the dexa scanner.

I also have been driving two hours each way to OsteoStrong in Lake Mary, FL. I’m starting my third month soon. I love going and I feel better. I plan to have a Dexascan in November. Hoping it shows good results. I’m 62 years old and have Osteoporosis of the spine. T-score -3.1

I attended Osteostrong for a few months. As hard as I tried, I could not increase my strength on the machines. I was told by employees that it didn't matter - that you did not have to reach the "Rapid Growth Trigger" in order to grow bone. (Rapid Growth Trigger is considered a level of "7"). I asked what level I had reached and they told me 2. Later, I read in Osteostrong's own literature that you needed to reach a level of at least 4.2 in order to trigger bone growth. No one told me this, and I'm very angry. Since I do not work out in the gym or do anything else to increase my strength, I could not see how I could ever reach a 4.2 -- almost double the 2 level that I was at. Why would my strength double? It wouldn't, and so I would never grow bone with Osteostrong.
I started to type my comment again because I did not see it posted, but now I do! Never mind!
I’ve been doing Osteostrong for close to one year but have had to take off several months due to travel (one month) and recently a surgery (2 month restriction for strenuous exercise).. DEXA last week had worsened by close to 10% in hip area but I also had to stop Prolia over a year ago due to developing the jawbone necrosis side effect so haven’t received for 1.5 years and it has been helping (was on it since became available, think 10+ years but this side effect wasn’t yet discovered). That’s why I started Osteostrong which two different doctors suggested, along with Evista (older med as didn’t have many available options as the bisphosphonates cause jawbone necrosis too plus I’m allergic to).. Planning to discuss more options with my bond health MD and my sister suggested Tymlos? which helped her. Also getting more serious about regular strength training as had backed off from working out. 66 yo petite female and could definitely use more muscle too!
