Mayo Clinic Patient Portal: How do I find it? Do you use it?

I was told I can check my appt.s in the Mayo Portal, how do I get there.

Looks like many people have provided the resources to get started with the portal. It truly is a wonderful resource. Overall, it's a great way to stay engaged & advocate for your or your loved one's care.

Access to medical records is an important feature. Although providers are migrating to an electronic health records model, there can be limitations when transmitting confidential patient records between providers, facilities, insurance companies, reviewers, etc.

When I'm talking to patients, I like to remind them that if an external (not with Mayo) provider needs your Mayo records to review prior to an appointment, for prior authorization requirements or whatever the reason, you can always print your clinicals or save them directly out of your portal. This removes the need to call various departments, avoid any of the HIPAA concerns when transmitting records & allows you to be in control of your personal information.

Hope the various suggestions from everyone are helpful & you can maximize the resources at your fingertips.

I am a patient of Rochester in MN too. I love their portal - I am post transplant almost 2 years and I use this portal still with all my blood work drawn here at home and sent to Mayo. I communicate with all my nurses as needed and love this portal. I hope you will be staying at the Gift of Life in Rochester. That is my home away from home. Will be there in October for 2nd check up. Good luck with everything.
