Low dose naltrexone for Post-Covid Recovery experiences ?
Does anyone have experiences with low dose naltrexone for long Covid symptoms of significant brain fog, post-exertional fatigue, joint pain, muscle pain - inflammation, insomnia. A few studies in late 2022 indicate that low dose naltrexone 4.5 mg is helpful . Do you know of a specific doctor in NYC who prescribes it?

I was prescribed 4.5 Naltrexone by Mayo Clinic January 2023. Definitely helped brain fog. I briefly discontinued for 3wks in April, but saw such a difference that I've gotten right back on it.
Does it help with buzzing and internal tremors?
Who can I talk to at Mayo about using naltrexone?
I have been taking it for 7 months now, it has helped with pain but not with my vibrations and buzzing. It has been a horrible road they have been so bad at night no sleep.
My physician prescriber is leaving Mayo in June, but he was incredibly helpful:
Dr. Mitchell Pitlick
General Medicine
My doctor at you see University of California Irvine prescribed it for me. I just started this week so it’s too early to see if it’s helping me out or not.
Sleep is terrible. I take hydroxizine to help. It seems to work 50 percent of the time.
LDN saved my wife's life from LC in February of this year. Three months prior she became weaker and weaker from LC. In February she could not walk. We found LDN and she immediately got better, not well but better than December and January. She is still very sick but very very slowly now getting better. Our Dr has sent a referral to Mayo, but they have accepted her yet.
She started at 1.5mg and went up 1mg every 30 days. A few days ago she reached 4.5mg
I recently saw an ad for an online company through which you can get low-dose Naltrexone. Apparently they have their own prescriber on board. If you google “low dose Naltrexone” you can probably find it. There are so many communities which don’t have LC clinics and don’t have providers educated about treatments like this, so I’m glad this service is available for a very safe medication.
Does anyone know why the increase of naltrexone dose is so gradual when it is a very safe drug and it’s being used at 1/10 th of the full dose? I have seen a protocol where the dose is increased from 1 mg to 4.5 mg within 4 weeks. Any thoughts ?
