I would like to add for everyone’s benefit that there are pressure points to press that help get bowel movement going. The outside of the bend of either elbow, the outside of the knees 2 1/2 inches down, and 1 and 1/4” below the belly button (press inward). I do this before I sit on the potty and during. Have something to read and keep pressing off and on bc it may take 5 or more min. Also here is a recipe I concocted for having BM next am:

1/4 c unsweet applesauce (I buy the small cups. They make great bedside pill holders)
1/3 capful of Miralax
1 tsp organic Psyllium Husk and Gluten Free Oat Bran - I use Yerba Prima Prebiotic Colon Care Formula (comes in big jar).
2 H2GO capsules (Mag Oxide). I buy this from Amazon.

Stir well to ensure the Miralax is dissolved. Eat with spoon and drink lots of water to get it down to your intestines. If you have too loose stool, reduce the H2GO to 1 tablet.

Boy that recipe should do it!

Where did you have your surgery? Was it laparoscopic? Did they use mesh?

@tabithatwitch, @baz, and all...I'm so sorry you folks are having such a tough time with this. I've suffered from IBD, diarrhea for most of my adult life, often very difficult to control, and then constipation for the last several years. A doctor at Mayo helped me tremendously when he diagnosed a leaky gut which is actually a legitimate problem. He referred me to Probulin, an excellent probiotic I buy online from Research Verified. This has changed my life! I was taking an over-the-counter probiotic but this is miraculous. I take one capsule nightly and no longer have the constant issues I did for decades.

I will tell you I bought Dr. Gundry's biome supplements and take them now. I've had good results. I'm not sure if I'll reorder, but probably not as I think the Probulin is truly excellent and doing the job I need. I also take a UTI supplement from Research Verified as I was having 3-5 UTIs every year, one with sepsis, and all quite difficult to treat. I began having problems with antibiotics due to this constant use and was even prescribed antibiotics prophylactically. I now handle the antibiotic issue with my own solution...at the first sign of diarrhea, I take a Lamotil and begin taking a 2nd Probulin in the morning, 2 daily as long as I take antibiotics. This enables me to take the necessary medications and the added supplement for UTIs works wonders as well. I've only had one this year! That's a record.

I hope some of this may help someone as you go through this crazy health journey. Blessings, elizabeth

Gundry in my and many others opinion uses deceit and half-truths to promote his many products. Some people in the world eat lots of his forbidden foods yet live the longest and are some of the healthiest and happiest, of course he denies this.
Lectin-containing foods like legumes, whole grains, and nuts are associated with lower rates of cardiovascular disease, weight loss, and type 2 diabetes proven by many studies yet Gundry says the opposite.

Leaky gut is real. That is when toxins, bad bacteria, etc. get leaked into our system via the digestive tract and cause disruption giving us symptoms that we then have to deal with. I was diagnosed with SIBO, a fungus and a yeast, gluten intolerant as the cause of my digestive issues, fatigue, not sleeping well. My doctor prescribed a number of supplements and botanicals to help heal my digestive tract along with changes in my diet. And my symptoms are dramatically reduced.

magic bullet

cvs has thier generic version of the enemeez just called mini enemas they come in a 5 pack and they keep them in stock at least in central tx

How do these compare to Fleet, which never work for me?

@tabithatwitch,
It sounds, then, like your situation has improved! Because in your initial post you said and sounded quite desperate. So maybe you found something that works for you? And that something isn’t going to make your “bowels dependent”. Psyllium fiber? Please share what’s working!

He had many many books out . I listened to one of them on audio. I think 💭 he’s correct on some things but not everything that’s for sure . I’ve tried everything in last 10 years and still have chronic digestive disorders very bad . Took some of the supplements he suggested but didn’t help me .
