Is the amyloid microclot test available in US?

I am writing to ask if anyone knows what medical facilities (Mayo?) are doing the amyloid microclot test? and are any willing to try the treatment that is provided in the referenced paper? The work was done in S Africa.

Oh my goodness Lauraellis, I called and the person that answered was sketchy about whether Summer was there or not and then she said she will be back next week. I guess word has spread about them being able to diagnose and treat patients. I will call again every day until I get through. If you have any contact info at UAB for Summer, I would love to get it. I tried finding it myself and was unsuccessful. It stinks because my life is on hold until I can get this testing and treatment done. Thanks again for reaching out with this information. Good luck to you!

Also one if the nurse practitioners that works there is Karen Weeks and they work under Dr. Jordan Vaughn. They are at the Medhelp 280. Evidently, I found out yesterday, Summer is new to the practice. Hope this helps!

I just started taking the Natokinase & also serrapeptase 3 days ago & am surprised at how quickly it has lessened the chest & shoulder pain/pressure & even improved my energy level. Hoping & praying it continues to help. Best wishes to all of you!

I actually received the miroclot testing at Medhelp 280 in Birmingham, AL with Dr. Jordan Vaughn. He is pioneering this field in the US based on the South African research. I have seen it work! I am actually doing the natural treatment route which he also educates on and supports. Overall, I believe he is very correct in my extensive labwork and results. I have attached pics of my results. Hope this is helpful! He sees folks all over the US right now, and lets you mail in the blood to be tested.

I looked up MedHelp in Birmingham, clinic Hwy 280. They have a long covid clinic that does the micro clot testing, taking local as well as out of state patients. They have Telehealth for the out of state patients.

Here's the website for the long Covid clinic:

I read in a post somewhere that a lady was tested at the Mt. Sinai Long Covid clinic. Based on info from a British blog post, I've begun taking Nattokinase, a natural Japanese enzyme that's been found to dissolve microclots.

How much Nattokinase are you taking and what brand? I found some on Amazon that I’ve been taking at about 8K FUs, for about 1.5 months, but know that supplements can be hit or miss, so wondering what others are finding helpful. Thanks!

I take 2000 fu/day. My search showed that to be a typical dose. I don't know if the brand matters. I started with Doctor's Best from Amazon.

I am using natural therapy and have already noticed a difference after only 3 days. There is a FB group called End long Covid, patients of Dr. Jordan Vaughn. I don't know if you can be in it without being a patient, but it is worth a shot. My clots were grade 3. I am using the Nattokinase Serrapeptase and NAC off of Amazon, plus 40mg of famotidine all on an empty stomach. I am not a candidate for triple therapy because of my gastric bypass. My father in law beat cancer naturally using Zantac also, so I believe it can be done!

Hi Laura,
I finally was able to connect with the MedHelp clinic. They are mailing out my test kit. Should I be concerned that this is a scam? How is your treatment going?

It is not. I have been back at work 3 weeks in a row, back to back 2 13 hour shifts on my feet the whole time. For patients further away, they have to send a kit because this testing is not done in the US for the most part. They put me on regular blood thinners for 90 days, and I will be coming off of those the middle of next month. I had a CTA and my nodules have gotten smaller too. There is a private Facebook group, patients of Dr. Jordan Vaughn. It is run by Summer Powers. She is one of the NP's in his practice. Go to Medhelpclinics.com and look their website over.

Insurance covers medication and lab work except for the clot test. I’m out of state so I paid out of pocket for my consultation and for the doctor to treat me.

May I ask how much the Microclot test is?
