Different Anxiety Symptons

Posted by da69 @da69, Apr 12, 2023

I read many accounts of people saying a anxiety attack feels like someone is sitting on their chest and the feel like having a heart attack and trouble breathing.
I have none of that.
I just start shaking and trembling in my legs and arms and hands and my legs feel like jello.
Was wondering if anybody else has anxiety
attacks like mine as now i am wondering if something else may be the culprit?
Mine never end in 15 minutes either...They last a hour and sometimes longer.

My anxiety attacks also do not feel like someone is sitting on my chest or having a heart attack. My symptoms consist of racing heart, and I get this pit in my stomach and I’m very lightheaded. My legs also feel like jello too! I sweat and get hot as well and sometimes have to go to the bathroom.

That is what I experience as well. Racing heart, pit in stomach, jello body, fear. Then I go into either fight, flight or freeze. Mostly freeze.

You might speak to your doctor about prescribing low dose propanolol. It’s a beta blocker used off label exactly for the type of anxiety you’re describing.

I didn't even know mine were panic attacks until I went to therapy. My chest got red and hot, and I went into fight or flight mode. I was given Xanax to take when I had an attack and that helped. Later, I was give hydroxyzine instead of Xanax. Your symptoms are not abnormal - everyone is an individual!

Does anyone try breathing exercises? They will slow ur heart rate down. So it’s not racing. It’s really not an exercise…you just breathe in and I hold it for 10 seconds and breathe out through mouth slowly. But the length u hold it is individual. Im no therapist. So maybe google breathing exercises for anxiety. I have Xanax but I start slowing my HR first by doing this. And I play a game on my phone. While doing my breathing it takes ur mind off of it. It works. Cuz ur thinking about the game and not ur attack. Try Cat Blast pop that’s my go to app to play while breathing in and hold and slowly breathe out. Google tho. Pls.

I am having anxiety attacks trying to wean off trazodone. Was taking for 6 months due to insomnia caused by a steroid that I had to stop. was put on trazodone (50 mg) in Nov 22 and it put me to sleep but I was still tired and shaking all day and lightheaded. So trying to withdraw. My symptoms are the same as a lot of people. Heart rate up, jello body, weak, and trouble walking. I have felt this way for 6 months and worse tapering. I have taken celesta for 20 yrs and that was really helping. No trouble until this episode with the steroid. ( budnesonide). So Maybe I need another anxiety med. ? Want to get a more natural sleep aid. Before this I had no trouble sleeping. I do take low dose atenolol to slow the heart rate. I do the meditation also and it does help. Was an avid exerciser before this and now find it hard ro walk 20 minutes around the house.

Try Adrenal Stress End by Nature's Way. Works great at reducing anxiety.

@extra ….hello… this really helps is Magnesium but u need (glycinate). Not oxide or citrate. (I’m not licensed. Just suggesting what helps me and what I researched). I take 600
Mg a day off and on. But to start I would take continually until Once it’s in ur system u just fall asleep. I use to dread going to sleep because I would be the one still awake all the time. When going to sleep I look squintingly around while it’s dark and imagine myself looking down sound asleep (u don’t need to do this). It makes me tired just thinking about it. Lol. Everyone is different: magnesium glycinate will help. Google it lol. A melotonin w/theanine helps. Or unisom (only the doxyclinate succ.)
