Pari Trek Sprint treatment times

I agree. I bought the Pari Trek S and sprint nebulizing cups recently because I was traveling and because it’s advertised as being very quick. I found it to be very slow. It took about 40-45 minutes to complete nebulizing Albuterol and sodium chloride. I thought there was maybe something wrong with my machine so it’s interesting to hear that other people are having the same issue. Now I’m looking for a good mesh nebulizer. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

My understanding from Pari is that the ProNeb Max takes the least time then the Vios and then the Trek. But I do not think it should take that long. If you call Pari they will send you another one and have you send back the one you have. I was having issues but discovered it was the sprint cups that were making it take so long. Also from what I understand you cannot use Mesh nebulizers with saline. However the Omron mesh does say it will work with saline. If I use the ProNeb it goes pretty fast with just saline (10 minutes or so).

Did you cage your nebulizer cups from the sprint? If so, what are you using now, and how long do they take?

No I did not change from the sprint. I used new ones and started cleaning them differently. I was using 70% alcohol but now I boil them instead. I also soak them in vinegar sometimes as well (both are according to their instructions).

I use the Pari Trek and Sprint cup with 7% Saline and it only takes 10 to 15 minutes unless I get distracted reading my email. I use the plug in version not the battery but I don’t know if that makes a difference. I travel with it a lot and haven’t needed the battery.

Did you change your cups from the sprint to something else? If so, what?

Maybe you did not see my previous answer? Did not change. Still use sprint cups. Just got new ones and clean them differently now. See previous answer.
