Internal body vibrations upon waking

Posted by hkhindle @hkhindle, Mar 29, 2023

For the last week, I have been waking up with my entire feeling internal vibrations. Very uncomfortable, not pain per se. Having your whole body feel like a buzzer is in your body. I have fibromyalgia. My 1st born son has epilepsy. I don’t have health insurance so my health care is minimal. I’m female, 62. When I was 52, a surgeon took out 80% of my colon without my permission. I was under care for my diverticulitis, but now have hypothyroidism. It’s been impossible for me to lose weight, and this week I’ve lost 5 lbs, I have no appetite. It’s very unsettling because it just keeps going like this until I go to bed.

SAME here re vibrations.... do not hurt but not pleasant because I think there is more going on than the vibrations as just dont feel ok when happening and right as wake up. Diagnozed with fibro years ago but had so many things happen to me since I almost forgot I had it, almost! I have hypothyroidism fro having right side removed re goitre on it. I have ibsd and fecal incontinence since C.Diff.. so I have an inkling of how you feel. Not a dr. of course , but i sometimes feel my bowel issues are causing the tremors/vibrations... it may be a jigsaw for you to find out and I hope you get some comments on here that can help you, 62 is too young to be going through all this! I am 79 and ill health has , as many millions of others, really affected my life,,, how I would love even one full day and night of good health! Best wishes, take care, J.

J, thank you for replying. Online it looks like a dr will diagnose as anxiety, even one article I read today stated, “ the brain can switch this on even directly upon waking”. Well, how in the world do you shut your brain off from this? I’ll keep looking, and hoping it’s just a glitch in my system. Kind regards, H

I too have fibro and hypothyrodism & Graves Disease (hyperthyroidism). I am being checked for RA soon. I do not have your symptoms and I am so sorry you are going through this. Fibro is hard enough and often times, other autoimmune issues tag along with it like thyroid disease. I pray you get some answers and relief. God Bless you.

My internal vibrations have been going on since 2019. They wake me up, or they did. It's weird because since getting the nasal cpap I've not had the vibrations. I think they are result of injury to phrenic nerve but my neurologist thinks they have something to do with over active central nervous system.

I’ve read that it actually is a syndrome that does stem from CNS. My issues are multiple, since I have fibro, every day I wake with my body feeling like it’s getting shocked. This is painful. Adding the vibrations, cold sweats that last all day and night, I really am hoping to get some support to combat all.

Sending you to a pain clinic ..nutty doctor, what madness is this, Im 4 years on and now its taken over my life, auto immune disease...thyroid gone!!! Nothings done...they pretend its not real!!!
