I’m worried about my heart I’m 21 and have health anxiety.
Hey, so i don’t get overly stressed out about it. But I do minorly stress abt my heart like putting my hand over my chest to feel my heart quite frequently, feel my pulse and kinda stress out if I have any pain in my chest because I’ve had it for a year and a half almost. I’ve been cleared from a cardiologist and 3 er cardiologists recently but I’ve been worried if a stress test would show anything different. The cardiologist did all testing except CT Scan, and a stress test. I have a negative d-dimer and I’m fit. But I’m worried that I’m being skipped for stuff. I still used to have very frequent chest pains, it’s chilled out since. I’m honestly sub consciously worried abt heart attacks and that’s all or just heart problems in general. I just want to know for sure I was last at the er about a week ish ago on an ekg for hours for nothing abnormal. Even with chest pains. It’s causing me unnecessary anxiety. I just don’t know if my d-dimer can increase to abnormal in 3ish months. Idk what to think I just want all my pain to leave 😭

Doctors are very lazy when it comes to young health, extremely lazy. Most of the time they will waive it off as anxiety or just leave it undiagnosed like the doctors I’ve seen. It’s infuriating, not to mention if they are right or not it doesn’t fix the problem. I had like a 280 Total Cholesterol lvl last year in November. And they weren’t concerned or didn’t want to do another test. I’m still in pain and suffering they don’t even want to test me anymore. Like it’s so unprofessional not to mention the terrible healthcare in this country. Hell they will barely treat you in the er, better to just go to Europe and actually get fixed instead of the US using you as a quick comeback buck, and won’t fix u til you’re either dying or Alr dead ☠️
Yeah my total cholesterol last year in October was like 280 and tri was 300s and they weren’t concerned. I felt cheated, ever since then it just feels like a bunch of shrug offs because I don’t have any “risks”.
C'mon, as you know those are bad numbers; you know how to improve them, so stop complaining and find another doctor.
Your story is not representative of any medical care I have ever received.
I agree. You need to stop blaming the medical community and start being proactive about your own health. It’s really quite simple. You are what you eat, so eat healthy. Make sure you are not overweight. Exercise is the key to repairing many diseases. Keep moving! Doctors are very responsive to patients who are proactive about their health.
All I’m saying is you must be from a very protected environment. Because younger people in most places often die to lack of assistance due to age. There’s a lot of statistics to state that, not to mention most look and are fit more than bigger ppl.
That’s why I dislike the medical system not necessarily the medical staff, they are lacked to what they can do
Hi @mylife90, you sound like you have a lot weighing on your mind. I'm glad that you had your heart checked and that everything came back normal. But your mind is not at ease with these results.
As a new mom, it is really hard to find time to prioritize your care. In fact, you could possibly be experiencing symptoms of post partum. Have you considered talking to a social worker or therapist? It's important to take care of yourself.
I do have a lot on my mind. I don't wanna believe I'm still have post postpartum depression. I also was thinking about talking to someone real soon because stress is a number one killer. I don't have time for self at all. I bring the kids to school and go straight to work get off pick them and cook dinner get them ready for the next day while they sleeping i clean the house up so you right me time I don't have. Being a parent is hard but I'm still standing and going strong
