Has anyone used CBD oil for chronic pain? And do you have results?
I'm a chronic pain suffer of 35+ years. Scoliosis is the culprit. Not a disfiguring curve but non the less painfully destructive. Almost every disc is bulging from 3mm to 6mm. I've had 2 spinal fusion. C 3-7 and L 4-5. Have 4 nerve root impengements with spondylosis in some areas and stenosis at interval from neck to sacral. Take steroid shots when I can with positive results for a few weeks. Always have Norco 5mg/325 ready if needed. Unfortunately I have found the best way to keep pain down is to lie down. So most of my days are spent on my bed. Any suggestions?

I agree, I got some CBD/CBG with very little THC, it needs more thc to make it more effective. Also do not take tramadol with Cannabis, way too much.
I tried the CBD Oil and it did not work for me. I have many back issues. I had one back surgery with 4 rods and two cadavers and I had a stimulator inserted and nothing has helped. My two doctors do not know what else to do for me. They fell I would not survive a second surgery. So just last week I agreed to give PT another try. I have a pool and it helps so I will do therapy from now until June. But it was very freighting to hear them say that. But the best is my employers disability company wants to know why I haven’t returned to work.
You paid for Disability insurance. And have a valid claim. Unfortunately, too many people that could work ruin it for those that need the time for healing. Hopefully the PT helps you. Swimming is supposed to be great to strengthen your back. I had PT in a swimming pool once. I’d rather do yoga…and practice the PT exercises
Godspeed
Meditation tape has helped.not walking has caused my stamina to get so bad I can't go anywhere. Physical therapy is helping. It is called Luna on line and is covered byy ppo insurance they come to my house 2 times a week. Has helped break up scar tissue and muscle like knots. I have 345 f usion spondololisthisis ,stenosis and many bulges. I also use Percocet and have reduced it to 15 mg a day 10 to 20 min walk is helping, but still not easy.
Good evening to those of you who are a bit overwhelmed by all the commotion about CBD and THC. My state is just completing the details of a new state law that is opening the door a bit more for those in need of help with pain and discomfort.
In my case, I have been using medical cannabis with CBD and THC for about 10 years. In fact, that is the only pain medication I use for Small Fiber Neuropathy that has been on a progressive "rampage" for quite some time. Adding the two together creates what is called the entourage effect.
In order to handle the ups and downs of pain and discomfort realities for those of us who are challenged by some form of neuropathy.........we need to have several different dosages ready to go for different times during the day and under different conditions. I want to be sure I am using the correct words here......so let me explain. I use a CBD/THC "tincture"....(not necessarily an oil) for overall nerve pain. Then I use a CBD/THC "balm" on my hands and feet for numbness and tingle tangles as well as pain.
You can create your own dosages or buy them in eye dropper bottles. For example, I start the day with a 1:1 CBD/THC in about 1/3 of a dropper. In the evening and at bedtime I use a full dropper of 2:1 CBD/THC dosage which gets me through the night quite well.
For topical applications, I use a 3:1 CBD/THC balm for chronic pain and a 1:3 CBD/THC topical balm for acute pain as in a sudden flare. That pretty well covers my cannabis program options after 10 years of trying to stay on top of product developments and my need for relief from pain.
May you all be safe, protected, and free from inner and outer harm.
Chris
Have you tried Gabapentin or something to that effect from your doctor you may not want to stay on it long but it can help you get some rest and sleep until you can get to the bottom of what you're looking for
How many hours sleep do you get by using the described a combination
I’m in recovery now but have been long term THC user and now that I’ve quit, my wbc is high and I’m literally in so much pain and suffering that I’m beyond the frustration. I’m learning to what is going on with me so I do believe in the healing and help of THC and CBD products. Unfortunately, I’m on parole, and one year into recovery. I have not used THC since 2019, and my health took a trip for worse. I cannot use Gabapentin for it interferes with my mood stability but I may check out CBDs.
I recently have experienced the same thing, wondering if it were my kidneys, appendix or gallstones. Have had massive abdominal surgery 2009. After reading lots of possibilities, I think it could be related to gastric foods, or stress. My pain seems to have gone away on its own in my lower and upper right side for about a month now. As far as CBD, THC both go into blood stream after passing through the liver, unless it is a tincture. Even then the amount not gone directly into your system under tongue, will process through liver. Liver toxicity from many drugs overloads the liver. CBD THC also stays in the body a long time. Once off other drugs go low and slow with even tinctures at any ratio, they will work at small doses if they will work for you at all. Let your body heal naturally, drink water get sun exercise.
THC and CBD change with technology all the time. It is hard to separate the two, but they have done a lot to progress with certain strains, like Stanley Brothers CW, CBG is a legal alternative that is less psychotropic. They are designed around hemp and high CBD, while getting the THC needed from Cross breeding with usually grafting in high THC to a hemp plant. There is also added infusion THC processes. Many ways to get there. We are hearing more about delta 8, but that is not a natural process and is still much controversy via the FDA and contamination even by quality brands and supposed 3rd party testing of removal of contamination is in question. Worst case is buying any products at your gas station or CBD store without doing your own lengthy research and discussing with your doctor.
