I was never told '09 MRI showed CSV disease
Friday, 25 Nov 2022
I am a female, now 62. I asked my neurologist two days ago if I can have an MRI. She said yes, since it's been 13 years since CSV disease was first seen.
I have been thinking, and I do not recall being told any such thing. I am extremely concerned about this.
I suffer from chronic migraines, dizziness, and severe anxiety. My blood pressure has shot up, I cannot relax, seldom sleep and am very depressed. My moods range between crying and sadness, apathy and anger. I haven't any interest in anything.
I cannot walk without the use of a cane. I have recently had nerve conductivity tests and the doctor said I have the nerves of a teenager.
Can anyone please help me?

@katie819. I can see why you are so distressed given the symptoms you've described. Are you referring to Churg-Strauss syndrome which is a disorder that is not a stroke but it is blood vessel inflammation? Are your symptoms getting worse and this is why you asked your neurologist for the MRI? When is the MRI scheduled?

I believe that she is referring to chronic small vessel disease.
I did not respond earlier because I am not "katie819", I am katl(lower case L)819.
Moving along... my MRI is scheduled for later this month. The condition is: Cerebral Small Vessel Disease.
Another one of my symptoms is something I have a difficult time explaining. When walking, it feels as though my LEFT foot is being pulled back. It does not matter if I lead with my right or left foot. It is an odd sensation; one that adds to my feeling unbalanced and afraid I will fall.
This is a nightmare.
Hello.
It's Cerebral Small Vessel Disease.
Thank you for your input.
Cerebral Small Vessel Disease....I have it to, it's brain related. THere is a similar disease related to the heart.
Hello, I have cerebral small vessel disease . I was diagnosed in 2020. I have similar symptoms, plus many more as time is going on. This disease is contacted to your heart as it's blood vessels which is what I am dealing with now..I am booked for an echo with nuclear trader Monday and a nuclear stress test with med to dilate the blood vessels. I'm so scared to have this done...any one have advise.
Same situation, have both cmvd and cad. The tests you are going to have are not bad at all. You may experience a temperature sensation when injected. Nothing to worry about - good luck!
Can someone please tell me if this is the same as microvascular disease? 🤔
Arlene
Yes it is.
Sally, I recently had my first nuclear stress test. I was extremely nervous, and alone. Although the testing is tolerable, I suggest having someone accompany you. It should calm you. I wish I'd had someone. Katl819
