Is having a car mandatory at transplant lodging?
Hello everyone. I've been referred to the Mayo Liver Transplant program. I have a million questions and it will be a couple months before I visit Mayo Clinic Phoenix for the initial interviews.
Is having a car mandatory at transplant lodging? If so, why?

Hi - I just wanted to add some options - one is uber and lyft are used often out here (Phoenix). And you can look into instacart to see what grocery stores deliver.

3 Reactions@giuseppe, I just want to drop in and say that I hope that your travel and lodging plans are coming together.
Have you been scheduled for your initial appointment, yet?

2 ReactionsThanks so much for you offer to drive me around! Very kind of you. I doubt I'll be there that soon. I was told it will take about 2 months to hear back from the Mayo Clinic once all my preliminary testing is done here at home.
Hello Rosemary - thanks for checking up on me.
It could be a couple months or more before I have an initial appointment at the Clinic. Kaiser works with a travel agency and makes most of the lodging and travel arrangements. I still have some procedures to do here to satisfy the Clinic's requirements . Then Kaiser send all the results to Mayo Clinic, then the Clinic will call me to set up that appointment.
