Evidence that weighted blankets are useful in end of life care
Is there evidence that weighted blankets are useful in end of life care especially for individuals who are frail and cachectic? I work in hospice care as a nurse so am exploring the use of these blankets but there is limited data on this subject.

Hi,
I am a new person to this marvelous gift 🎁 Mayo provides. For me the mere thought of being enveloped by a warm weighted blanket. My first thought is the sensation must be like being in the womb of our mothers. Namaste 🙏🏻❤️❤️
I am 71. I have used a weighted blanket for over two years as a social worker suggested they are good for anxiety attacks. And it works for me! It is a marvelous gift and recently I bought one for my 11-year-old granddaughter who has trouble falling asleep. It is great at nighttime, and I fall asleep like a baby! I am not fragile or frail so that is a good question.
