What helps improve osteoporosis without medication?

Posted by imatine @imatine, Dec 4, 2020

Hello, did anyone here try to heal from osteoporosis away from all the prescribed medications we all know of? Did you try following a specific diet? Excercise? Meditation, etc. ? Thank you

My dr suggested 2 lbs on each hip(not on chest) sorry, 2 lbs on each ankles and 2 lbs on each wrist while walking. I use my weight in my. home. OMG after I remove them at night I feel as if I could float. Just my own experience. Weight has to be evenly distributed according to my exercise dr. I am baffled by the weights on chest? Investigate. If possible dr also explain a small trampoline is excellent also while watching tv with bars for safety and support, Good luck, Also consider Vit D and K

Be careful with the trampoline. They can beat up your knees. I always read it's good for knees but people who use it disagree. Be mindful if your khees start hurting.

Thank. you for your comment regarding trampoline. Please do check with your drs on the use of trampoline. Absolutely. Best to be judicious as every person starts with different conditions when starting exercise program and most especially with osteoporosis or prior back injury.

A physical therapist and your orthopedic doctor should monitor your exercise program.. Take notes. IF there is any kind of aggravation or a pain gets worse. STOP immediately. Best to understand where and reason pain surfaces upon doing any physical program.

I have been going for several years to The Super Slow Zone for "therapist guided" strength training. I have also started taking Bone Restore Elite and hoping that will help my bones without prescription medication. I have osteopenia.

The Brand of Collagen I use is Native Path. I researched several collagen brands and found this one to be the most based in science. The website is very helpful for getting you started. I hope you have success with it! It is really helping me.

I also take collagen with peptides. Also taking Bone Restore Elite both from Life Extensions. Too early to tell if it us helping my osteopenia along with my strength training with a personal trainer at Super Slow Zone.

I was given the name of PT, Margaret Martin by a knowledgeable endocrinologist when I asked about specific exercises to do to help. She is on YouTube and has much information on Melioguide if you become a member for free, and has written books. She is the one where I’ve also become familiar with the idea of LIV, a low intensity platform. Check that out as well. Would love to hear from others that have used the LIV overtime and/or been doing exercises from Margaret Martin. Thanks!!

I enjoy my Marodyne LiV. I use it 3 times a day. It really wakes up the cells.

hi dmanduca,
I'm thinking about the Marodyne LiV, but hesitate because of the cost. How long have you been using it and have you had a DEXA since then that shows improvement? Or do we need a trabecular bone scan to see results?
I'm taking Fosamax now, but would like to use as many treatment modalities as possible to decrease my fracture risk.
Thanks!

Isn't strontium radioactive element? Can it do harm then to your body?
