Thank you. Beautiful song. Though we send letters to the anonymous families who lost their loved ones most of us never know if they realize how profound their gift was to each of us. I hope they all hear this song and know we are forever grateful.

Do you think she has a personal connection of someone she loves having been through a transplant, either as a donor or recipient? That would be an interesting trivia fact!

Did you know that David Cosby lived with a transplanted liver for nearly 28 years ? He died in January 2023. Considering his very liberal opinions & lifestyle with regard to booth & drugs it is a miracle that he made it into his eighties. It is difficult to imagine him as a responsible custodian of a gift as precious as a new liver.

Thank you so much. This song made me tear up. And be grateful once again for my kidney. I see it sparkling in my body and sometimes forget to thank it for my life. I am in pain from scar tissue and that is when I forget. So I need reminders like this song. And I love Bonnie. Her songs have such deep feelings, so heart felt. Blessings, Barbara

I read that this song is based on a true story that Bonnie Raitt read about. That’s all I know. I’m a big Bonnie fan so her song and reward made me happy. I love it when the old girls win. ❤️
