My platelets are 120000
I was a normal man until got ill with covid19 2021 after i recovered i found my platelets 130000 then 122000 after taking the vaccine. I went to doctor who made me to take B12 and folic acid until platelets became 150000. The problem that after i got influenza vaccine and titanous vaccine after injury platelets became 112000 !!!! Again starting taking B12 and folic acid , it became 120000 and i bought b12 from Puritan pride and still take b12. The question is there any problem with that??

I wish I could give you some of my platelets! Mine are running 500 plus up to 800. As far as the hemoglobin, mine, when this all started was around 5 -6. I couldn't even take a little bag of trash to the curb without stopping to lean against the house as I was so fatigued. Oncologist said I had MDS. I was given Revlimid (a mere $19,000) a month. It took years for my hemoglobin to get up to 12/15 but it finally did and it stayed. Then I was told I no longer had MDS but now my platelets are sky high and they won't come down and stay down. I'm on 2 different meds that make me feel awful. The doctor has no other help for me. A stroke or heart attack are in my future with the high platelets. Let us know what happens.
Thank you for your comments, I go to the cancer center Monday, Wednesday and Friday to get my blood drawn and get blood or platelets if my numbers are low. I was on on one med but the side effects were so bad the Dr took me off of it. I hope you can get some help.
I guess I will quit complaining as I get a blood draw every two weeks. Just went on line to get today's results of my blood drawn and platelets are mid 500's. I keep hoping for a miracle to get off these 2 meds that make me feel bad but at least I don't have spend a lot of my time in the hospital 3 times a week getting draws like you. Wonder if your doctor could try Revlimid to get your hemoglobin up.
By the way, there is funding for a lot of these meds....Good Day, etc. The doctor's nurses at the hemotology clinic did all the work and found me help. What a life saver!
